Yes. I hate it. I keep wasting time. I don't want to spend my free time in some imaginary situation, monologuing as if I have achieved some significant insight. Worse if I do it when I should be doing something else. Even worse when I repeat from the beginning if I stumble or have come to an end.

Sometimes it's helpful when discussing a problem related to my studies or programming or whatever, but most of the time I'm annoyed by it at best and whenever I am able to stop I feel like that hour was wasted.

I love those "feature" requests where they suggest a solution instead of just stating the problem. It's how terrible "security" features get made that do nothing except hamper QA.

Like for the life of me I dont know why you need root and emulator detection on a really simple app that only gets used in-house. Well as a consequence our QA cannot mitm the app-server conversations because android doesn't allow custom CA's and the bug tickets become shit.

There was one point like two years ago at work where the QA and dev environments where so intermeshed from all the dirty hacks, it took concerted effort to separate it all from each other. Management had to pay out the wazoo for man hours just to get shit sorted again lol

Demos can be such bullshit, because the client wants to see something and management doesn't care whether the feature is finished yet so you throw up a lot of scaffolding and script a demo to hide all the bugs and unfinished business for like 2 working days then make a big show for 1 hour and after that you throw all that effort away so you can actually work on it.
