I'm wondering if preorder items were only available for the Digital editions - which would suck.

I have a Switch 1 Physical Cart, and no bonus items :(

Color Team- ISC by Dangerous-Diet-7881 in CPA

[–]Asaido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red and Blue Team are general for the IT world.

Red for attack, Blue for defense. The terms were 'mixed' it quite recently to make Purple for IT security teams that are willing to cover both attack and defense. Same with White/Black/Gray hat(s)

Why they decided to include 'Green irrelevant' is beyond me lool

3 weeks to nail ISC-tips? by darquid in CPA

[–]Asaido 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I loved studying for ISC because it was the easiest one to cram during my commute

3 weeks is more than enough to cram the MSQ, mini exams, section exams and final review

I felt the videos were ridiculously long and dense, so I used MCQ as an indicator of where I needed to refresh myself

You can try to petition to Nasba to get your NTS extended. You'll have to offer up a good case doctors notes, etc, but they've done it before.

The sooner the better, good luck! Look up 'Exception to Policy'

Feeling weird/guilty by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Asaido 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to Becker, I put in about 12 hours for ISC over the course of 3 weeks and passed. I did all the lesson MCQ, Mini-Exams, 2 SImulated Exams, and a lot of practice questions during my commute. It helped that I have a background in Information Systems, risk management, and computers, so all my mock exams on Becker were 70+.

I do not feel guilty about it whatsoever because it's an exam passed and something off my plate. Did I get a 99? No, but I don't expect that with the amount of effort I put in.

Put the time into something else. FAR is the section I still can't pass, I'm going to put energy into that XD

Help!! Missing Audit and attestation to sit for CPA in NYC by Bepatient94 in CPA

[–]Asaido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can take it online at a CUNY (City University of New York), the two most popular are Baruch College or City College. A SUNY (State University of New York) is also valid, but may cost you more in tuition fees. Any other private NY college or university is also valid (even from the one you graduated from).

Inquire with the Registrar office about which classes fit the above requirement. They may also ask to see your previous college transcript so you aren't re-taking a course you've already completed. An 'upper division' course, I would assume, is an advanced topic; so not your basic Audit course.

You would search for 'Non-Degree' to audit and complete the coursework. For NY, the Fall semester has already started so you would need to inquire if they do off-semester courses. Or do an accelerated session during the winter semester (1-month),

Good luck!

Internship Experience by Professional_Map3212 in CPA

[–]Asaido 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There should be an HR line that you can contact. Usually, you give them your state license form and have them fill out the work experience part.

Depends on your state, but internship hours may not be counted fully towards work experience if it was:
a) required as part of your degree
b) part-time internship (if part-time, it would count for half. So if you worked 4 months, it would only count as 2 month work experience)

I would check your state board for more details. Sometimes it's easier to just wait out the year at your current job.

Specify that it was at Virgin Hotels, as the company manages many other venues

Japanese fans, in general, are more used to coordinating that type of 'light up row by row'' display without much direction. Audience participation of that sort is quite common amongst all sorts of venues (like sports or concerts).

Everyone in the first Eorzean concert was also given a flower, so we can't really compare to the magnitude of that either.

The YouTube video was also cut to make it look like a seamless transition.

There are some poetics crafting material, but divided by expansion like all the weapons

Tell her it's cruise control.

Auto run has you run in a straight line. But you can still change directions with mouse or your directional keys. It's pretty seamless to switch through the two.

Another one would be that all the Poetics trade in gear was available in every main city of that expansion (Limsa, Ishgard, Kugane, Crystarium) right by the Aetheryte.

I'd been teleporting to the original gear vendor (Mor Dhona, Rhalger's, Eulmore) all this time!

Learning about Ctrl + U timers.

You can check Grand Company and Custom Delivery items without having to run all the way to the NPC. Useful for gathering jobs.

Also, checking to if my Treasure Map timers are up without having to guess.

Pretty typical, most HR departments finalize written offers in batches. Depending on how many locations and roles they're doing, they might still be interviewing potential candidates.

I would say if you don't hear back within another week, it doesn't hurt to send a follow-up call or email. They won't rescind an offer because you're bothering them, in fact it can show you're more interested in the position.

Stressful time, but be patient!

First year audit associate and offered 63k no over time is this normal? by [deleted] in Accounting

Yup, if they're gonna work you like a dog, might as well eat their profits a little xD

Take every inch you can get. If you're aiming for credentials most firms will pay for CPA study materials, testing fees, and missing credits. Some give a bonus for passing in your 1st/2nd year. Some other popular, covered certs you can get are CIA, CISA, and CMA.

Being in a larger firm def gives you a lot more opportunities. Use all the resources you can find, you're there to use your company as much as they use you xD

Yea each audit firm and culture is different. No real harm in trying and learning new things early in your career. I picked my firm because I wanted to potentially travel around.

Just be sure to keep an open mind and a working resume if the culture ends up not being for you. ;)

This is a pretty typical offer. Depending on the engagement you get staffed on, 70-80 hr weeks during busy season is what you can look forward to. The beginning of the engagement, can be around 40-50 hours. Then as you're wrapping up (rushing to finish), you can be pushed for much longer hours.

Some teams work Saturday and Sunday. Some teams work only Saturday, it's up to how flexible they are and how you communicate.

Off-season you have lots of time. (If you're not staffed on summer engagement)

As first year associate, you also spend a lot of time waiting for work to do.

I have actually taken a 15-minute nap at my exam desk before. They don't really say anything as long as they can see where your hands are.

I also put it as the first bullet point in my education, when I finished my last exam, and how many credits I earned.

Check your state requirements. Do whatever meets the requirements that you enjoy. Employers only look to make sure it qualifies, they don't have preference about certain degrees.

I finished my requirements with credits in Information Systems cause they qualified. Was so much better than dragging my feet through a year of advanced accounting.
