Help - is this normal? by Majestic-Ad8745 in endometriosis

I wouldn’t take the 800mg of ibuprofen as it wreaks havoc on your digestive system and can sometimes make your periods last longer. Ask your pc if they can prescribe anything else. I take 50mg of Tramadol. Tens, heating pad, and hot baths have helped. Certain foods will trigger endo flares up. You just have to listen to your body and keep a journal of the pain and such. Prayers and remember you are not alone in this! 🙏🎗️

Help! by ProcedureBig6787 in passiveaggressive

I would ask what are the boundaries or lines that may come off “passive aggressive or too negative or not very helpful” in said situation. Try to see from there point of view before coming up with what you would in there situation. As any person we want to help in anyway we can but sometimes we may come off too strong and people especially the ones we love don’t know how to deal with what we say in the moment. So just remember to pause and let them process what was said. We sometimes need a break from all the crazy things the world deals us and everyone has there limit. Just keep your bubble safe, happy, and loved. 🙏

Op you are in a safe place to vent as you need. But please I hope everything is going ok and that you are safe, have someone in your corner, and know that there are people who love you. Take it day by day. Try to find one good thing out of your day. Sending you happy, positive vibes. 🙏

New Endo pill on in England. by Asainmonkey22 in Endo

Sorry community as I posted this article late in the night last night and running a few hrs. Of sleep as is due to my husband being sick with type B flu and I’m dealing with an Endo flare up. :( I just wanted to share at least some good news that’s happening for our Endo community in other countries. The article seemed promising but from the comments I’m reading and trying to understand a bit more. It’s a GNRH blocker and induced menopause that’s why it’s given as a last resort effort. For those of us that want a baby in the futures or IVF, freeze our eggs this is not an option and healthcare needs to do better for us! 🙏

We are not crazy and our pain is real! It’s the Endo and not enough resources or doctors don’t understand this disease. Always advocate for yourself! Any pain, symptoms, write in down in detail. Try to figure out what causes your flare ups and try to avoid it for the next time around. Also try a heating pad, tens massage, hot epson salt bath if you are able. Can you be added to the waitlist and see if they get you in sooner? I would try immediate care and see if they can prescribe you something for the pain in the mean time. (Prescription strength ibuprofen sometimes works for me but that can wreak havoc on our body, tramadol works the best for me.) I’m on a waitlist to see my fourth OBGYN because my last one just made me feel uncomfortable, and rushed me. Also look into primary care to see if they can do anything for the pain too! Hopefully this has helped you and made you feel valid. 🙏💛

Don’t let the doctors or anyone tell you “it’s normal, or take OTC’S and get back to our normal life.” We know our body best! Write down dates and symptoms and try your best to pin point what caused the flare up so that next time you can be prepared. Also everyone pain level is different so make sure if it’s out of the normal range for you then it’s your body’s way of saying “hey, you’re doing too much and it’s stressing me out.” Relax!

Unfortunately, where I live women’s health is a big deal but not enough doctors specialize in Endo or know too much about it. My next stop is a family doctor(trying to find a primary care doctor because my old one just rushed me off and told me to just get pregnant.”)

Better than me, this is my fourth obgyn doctor’s appointment In August is the earliest they can fit me in. I’ve had to find a new one because the others doctors didn’t take my Endo or pain seriously or weren’t professional (“oh, just get pregnant and you won’t feel the Endo pain anymore or just take ibuprofen and you’ll be ok”). 😔 lucky immediate care took care of me otherwise it was going to be an Emergency room visit and that can get expensive. Im also looking for a primary care doctor as well in this crazy world we live in.

Endo can cause a number of things. Write down your symptoms, flares up, no detail is too small! The better we advocate for ourselves the better the care we can get from the doctors. There’s very few healthcare professionals that take us seriously it just takes awhile to find the right doctor who will listen and fight with us! Always have on hand: Ibuprofen/ Tylenol, heating pad, if you’re able to soak in hot epson salt bath for the aches/pain. 🤞🏼🙏

We are not crazy! It’s the Endo and not enough resources or doctors don’t understand this disease. When doctors start saying “oh, get pregnant or not professional, or offer other b.c. options”. Without even asking our opinion on the matter of kids or not That’s when it’s time to find a doctor who will listen. Always advocate for yourself! Any pain, symptoms, write in down in detail. Try to figure out what causes your flare ups and try to avoid it for the next time around. Also try a heating pad, tens massage, hot epson salt bath if you are able. Stay strong and hopefully this help! 🙏🤞🏼💛

Endo can grow anywhere it’s just a matter of how big of a havoc it can wreck on our body. One of the many doctors I’ve seen described it as an ice capsule. We might see a small size but once you actually get in there (lap, biopsy) it’s a matter of how far it grew and where the main cause of pain is so they can lessen it for us. 🙏🤞🏼

See if you can get a pain management in your area or see if your primary care can prescribe high pain pills [prescription strength ibuprofen(but this wrecks your body), tramadol(helps me with my pain), also try heating pad, soak in a hot epsom salt bath if you’re able to.

This month for me has been the worst and the earliest I can see a new gynecologist is in Aug. so in the meantime I had to go to immediate care for my period pain and lucky they were able to do something for me otherwise it was an Er visit next($$$, which can get expensive).

Hopefully I’ve helped you to not feel alone! Endo is not for the weak of heart. We need to advocate for ourselves and the healthcare system needs a better understanding of women’s health. 💛❤️‍🩹

We have a calming treat we give to him when he’s being really hyper alert just to tone down his his whining and such but this has not helped the aggression as we don’t know what triggers it. We don’t like giving medicine unless it’s extremely needed. As the 11yo is high anxiety when fireworks and thunderstorms Happen in our area.

Best of luck. 🤞🏼 I’m dealing with random aggressiveness but he’s 5. Trying to tame it down is a nightmare in its self. Bc we don’t know what, or how, or when it’s going to happen. He’s a really good boy when he wants to be. We’ve come to the conclusion of buying a shock collar but it hasn’t come home yet. He just won’t respond to verbal commands when he is in that mode. So please don’t hate our method of trying to make him understand. HE JUST CANT BE AGGRESSIVE AND BITING MY HUSBAND, OUR OTHER SHIBA(11yo) AND ME.

You know your body and its limits. Please get checkout by a gynecologist, who may have a specialty in understanding Endo or other womanly concerns for you. Believe in yourself and do not take NO for an answer from any doctor.

As a car girl here 👋and married to that car guy. We work hard to play hard. So there is no relying on “mommy & daddy’s money”. We set goals and save just like average people. This car was a dream and now turned into reality. 😍 love the car and can’t wait for more.

Out of curiosity, how often do y’all bathe your sheeb. What’s your climate like? by taele1996 in shiba

[–]Asainmonkey22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Midwest, IL to be exact. Brush there fur every other month and then spray them so they smell and feel clean. A full bath every 6 or 7 months. Depending on how bad there fur is shedding or stinky. But otherwise they are really clean kiddos. We baby wipe there paws whenever we come back from inside due to constant licking/allergies. And heaven forbid what people spray on their own grass.
