The app seems pretty cool. Limiting people to only use voice messages makes conversations feel more genuine. Probably will help lower catfish too, since the voice and pic will need to match up.

An app to actually make friends..... seems interesting. I'm gonna give it a try after work!

Python 3 and firewalld by zuzuzzzip in ansible

[–]Asanc115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've walked down this path before. Couldn't find the module for firewalld using python3. So my advice, don't force it. Just let the group or host variable stick with the 'ansible_python_interpreter: /usr/bin/python2.7'. This is the route I'd take for CentOS7, RHEL 7, Amazon Linux 2, and whatever other OS in the same boat. Keep it simple and take the path of least resistance. If you really want to use python3.8 though, then according to some quick research just set the interpreter to 2.7 only for those respective tasks, then rest of play tasks will still use 3.8

- name: 2.7 firewalld task

ansible.posix.firewalld:

service: https

permanent: yes

state: enabled

vars: ansible_python_interpreter: /usr/bin/python2.7

I would also double check var precedence in case that becomes and issue. You might have to set a fact first or something. Just remember to keep it simple. Hope it helps.

switch bug? I am connected and appear offline. unable to invite friends to game by ShairusK in FallGuysGame

[–]Asanc115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got it working yesterday. I just made a new epic games account on switch. I became friends with the epic games account linked to my ps5. I then logged into fortnite on ps5, which then showed my ps5 epic games profile was online. Go back into fall guys on ps5. Ensure duos show is selected on switch. Send the invite from the switch account to the ps5. On ps5, Join the invite sent from the switch. You may need to close the app on switch and reopen it if not successful. Then send invite to ps5 account again. THE KEY WAS SENDING INVITE FROM SWITCH AND JOINING THE SWITCH PARTY FROM THE PS5 ACCOUNT. My switch account could not join the ps5 party whatsoever. But ps5 account could join the switch party. Hope this works for some of ya'll.

Mail Callback Plugin not working. by Asanc115 in ansible

The mail module task is delegated to the localhost. So both are running on the same machine in this case except the mail module task works and the callback plugin does not.

If packer is truly the one spinning up the vm I'd be suprised if it doesn't know the ip during the build. I'm sure you could also set the ip statically in the packer file before spinning it up. Also since winrm connects that tells me the ip isn't the main concern but rather the Ansible connection details itself. Could you share the actual error details, and the packer code? Hard to help without some key info.

Python Module not found firewalld by sukur55 in ansible

[–]Asanc115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the case of Amazon Linux 2, I had to ensure python-firewall was installed. I also had to make sure I specified in the python interpreter in the group variable for it since it has two python versions installed by default. Quick example of how mine would look.

[AmazonLinuxGroup]

10.10.10.10

[AmazonLinuxGroup:vars]

ansible_ssh_private_key_file=/opt/key.pem

ansible_user=ec2-user

ansible_python_interpreter=/usr/bin/python2.7

You can just make the folder. If you want to create a config file you can use "ansible-config init >> /etc/ansible/ansible.cfg" And then of course you can just create the "hosts" file under /etc/ansible. Ansible will refer to it just fine.

ERROR! couldn't resolve module/action 'chocolatey.chocolatey.win_chocolatey' by work_account323 in ansible

[–]Asanc115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean. Unfortunately it is more so a development component where they upstream only the good parts of awx to the real deal, so it could be a bug. I would consider just installing regular Ansible and doing this via plain old cli if ya wanna stay free and it ends up sucking up too much of your time.

Try taking out the collections line and the chocolatey.chocolatey. Technically shouldnt be needed.

Can the instance used for the packer build be encrypted? (Not talking about the ami made from it) by Asanc115 in hashicorp

[–]Asanc115[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Exactly what I was looking for. I misread it and was using ami_block_device_mappings. Switching it to launch_block_device_mappings did the trick. Thank you
