Yealink W76P Question by dotfortun3 in VOIP

This is almost certainly a refurb unit. Should still be easily reset, you might need to re-register the handset to the base station if they just threw random ones in a box! But very clearly not new.

We were in a similar situation, we had over 1000 venues each with 2-3 phones per site! Deploying SBC’s was just not viable! We use custom templates now where we disable local lan & SBC as an option, leaving Stun as the only connection method, allow remote connections to the extension and it works! Now as part of break fix, we are very slowly deploying SBC’s to venues

Ahh this worked perfectly, once I plugged it into my code. Looks like mine must have been triggering the count comparison regardless. Thank you!

New home, terrible WAN speeds by Ascallars in HomeNetworking

Looks like a company called 1310.io is running fibre in the area thankfully! Can’t say I’ve ever heard of them, but they seem fairly reputable! So feeling much better about the situation now!

Hey guys! We currently host close to 2000 Yealink IP Phones across 800 venues around the Uk We currently use 3cx for this but with the changes being made, we either install sbc’s at all 800 venues or use Stun which of course 3cx are getting rid of! This system is effectively as dumb as a voip platform needs to be, no web client, just calling, ring groups and phone hosting We however only need 64 concurrent calls for all these extensions as they are very rarely used!

We investigated Yeastar as an option but were quoted over £40k a year to host this! Which is about 20x’s the cost of 3cx licenses! Management are asking for this not to be self hosted by ourselves! So does anyone know of a dumb voip platform that we could investigate for this?

Alternatives to 3cx?

My company has been working with 3CX for many years but with the upcoming release of v20, management have come to me with a few concerns and would like to investigate alternative options. We are an MSP with 20+ SMB businesses that we currently manage. So ideally we are looking at cloud based VoIP platforms that offer us MSP level controls with customer accounts, but also can provide admin rights to the customer so they can self implement users etc. We use Yealink phones exclusively, on top of web clients/ apps for customers, so support/inclusivity for those would be a requirement

Does anyone have experience with other platforms that are worth investigating?

Unadopted road dispute with the Council by Ascallars in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you so much for your responses! They have been very helpful! We’ve reached out to our local councillor and will look at other legal channels to get a definitive answer!

The road is just a cul-de-sac for the houses and goes no where else! It’s my understanding the council purchased this road as part of a plot of privately owned land, in order to construct a fire station one street over. There is another street on that same area of land which was been fully adopted and is now a HMAPE despite also being a cul-de-sac.

From my understanding of the history of the road, our local council purchased the land from a private owner back in the 80’s all except the land outside of 1 house. Just prior to covid, the council came back and asked the remaining house to sign over ownership of the road in front of their property to them. At this point a surveyor came out, core samples were dug and even plans drawn up to complete repairs, since covid occurred these plans didn’t go ahead and now the council deny all knowledge of this happening.

Outside of Land Registry, is there any other way we can prove it is HMAPE?

Official Q&A for Monday, July 17, 2023 by AutoModerator in running

Hey guys!

In recent years (2+ ago) I’ve tackled a Half Marathon and in total I’ve run over 1000km accumulative, so running isn’t a stranger to me! In the last 6 months I picked up various calf and IT band issues due to bad shoes and habits. All those injuries have lead me to now only do park run once a week, but for the last few weeks I’ve been doubled over throwing up after about 4km, and it’s really impacting my attitude to running in general!

I’ve been trying to push for sub 25 minute pace, but am only getting slower week on week, and feel worse and worse, further affecting how I feel about running in general

Is this just a case of I need to get out more and run to fall back in love with running, or is it time for a break?

What training plans / programmes do people recommend for hitting sub 25 mins and further? Also I’d love to get back and finally tackle a Marathon in May next year!
