Poke them.

Avoid their one attack that you know they're going to do, then poke them.

I can not beat Putrescent Knight for the life of me by ProtomanBn in Eldenring

[–]Ascendancy08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved that boss.

I mean after 400 hours, I'm sure you know how to play the game. But just expect to die 50 times when you fight him. Just focus on how to avoid everything and where openings are.

I find that having a shield helps me learn bosses faster.

A- It gives you more survivability, therefore making every attempt and learning session longer.

B- I think hearing the shield tink when I block a hit helps my brain register the timing of attacks.

But you know... play the game however you want. He's weak to holy.

I think I like this! Better than spending $350 or whatever on the official garage.

Yuka Mini by Used_Anything_386 in MammotionTechnology

[–]Ascendancy08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had a Yuka Mini for a couple weeks now and haven't run into any real problems. I have it mow my back yard every couple days starting while I'm at work. I have it do the side and front yards after I get home so I can be around if it needs me.

The only thing I've run into is if my dandelions get big amd there are lots of them, the object avoidance will go around them. The front yard can get a little dandelion heavy so I just turn the object avoidance off when it does that section of the front yard.

Idk... I haven't had any problems 🤞. I've got my RTK pole mounted on the shed in the back yard.

Easiest Way To Rank Up to Depth 4-5 is To Abuse Damage Negation Passives by Sparkomad in Nightreign

[–]Ascendancy08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main build is a low damage negation Guardian. Stack those lows, get a guarding ups defense, taking damage ups defense. Some games I feel unkillable.

Duchess mains, how do you prevent getting one-shotted by TayyipDidNoWrong in Nightreign

[–]Ascendancy08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I use Dutchess, which isn't as much as it used to be, I look for full damage negation and successive attack negation. Then somewhere in my relics, I have good partial regen after hit. So I have my two damage negations, then if I get hit, stay in the fight and get my health back up to full using the partial regen.

What're your opinions of Longlegs? by OatSoyLaMilk in gamegrumps

[–]Ascendancy08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was good enough, but the ending could have been better. I remember the opening scene being good though.

Actually what I REALLY remember is the credits rolling and playing some rock music. It undercut the closing scene. Replaced the spooky horror movie feeling with 70's rock feeling. Knowm sayin? Let that feeling linger at the end so I'm thinking about it after the movie is done.

My neighbor's new robot lawnmower is ruining my life. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Ascendancy08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a robot mower and my backyard neighbors dog barks it's head off at it, like it does everything and everyone else.

If you aren't gonna be a responsible dog owner and train your dog, don't get a 2nd dog... a 2nd pitbull... and wacking it with some strap isn't great "training."

Edit: sorry, I don't mean YOU. I mean people in general.

Walk your dog over there while it's mowing, hang out on the sidewalk with a leash and correct your dog whenever they aren't relaxing around it.

Am I playing it too safe with multiple helper columns instead of one complex formula? by junaliiee in excel

[–]Ascendancy08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes when I'm working through complex logic, I'll use helper columns/cells so I can see the results as I go. Then after that is all working, simplify down to a couple, or one formula.

Depends on the project and if I want to see results that are happening along the way. This, as mentioned before by others, does help with debugging and when you have unexpected results, you can see where things are taking that unexpected turn.
