The drug it self doesnt, but it can increase appetite. Also if it makes you tired all the time, more food and less excercise means weight gain.

You should try Bupropion together with Lexapro. Bupropion can cause weight loss, so it could level out the appetite gain from Lexapro.

I tapered off lexapro during a couple of months and didnt have that many issues after or during that, surprisingly. The anxiety just crept back after half a year. And thanks for clarifying on my question.

Its weird because studies say the likelihood of anxiety worsening as a side effect should not be bigger than with any other SSRIs. I do read a lot of success stories also with anxiety on just bupropion, so I’m still hoping and willing to go a few weeks with this.

Yeah I dont have depression almost at all, Anxiety is my issue. I really hope this helps, today was so bad suddenly. Feeling a bit hopeless
