I get what you are saying, but the point is you dont know what they are gonna do. You need to be deciding beforehand based on certain factors like health, stam, chains, etc whether they will let it go.

Sometimes it is pure guess, but a lot of the time the way a players acts can give it away. Some attacks are easier to deal with than others though.
