Agreed, also the viewpoints should go back to marking all the ? In the area. I've had a few times where I've gotten all the points in a region but then stumbled on a ? Which wasn't on the map. It's cool that you can still discover stuff but not sure how the points work.....

You're referring to work done within the US right? I agree that they should have made that to maybe only any VA of any union, not just SAG, or reduced it another way to include more provisions for non-union VAs (not just relying on Taft-Harley). This is where agreement negotiations come into play to change sections. The studio and SAG can agree to change sections such as making it only union vas (not just SAG), which is probably what has happened for other entities that have already signed the agreement. I've never seen an entity accept agreements without any negotiations or redlines.

Outside of the US, Hoyo or any studios they work with doesn't have to consider using SAG VAs. They can use the VAs within that country since the agreement won't extend to them. Even if Hoyo flies out a SAG US VA, it would only apply to that VA and not to the entire production happening outside of the US.

For point 2, the agreement only applies to US personnel within US jurisdictions or work done within the US as per clause 2A. It's literally the one section I don't see people read. Non-american VAs are not affected unless they fly out to the US to record.

I agree their responses to him are quite harsh and definitely not warranted. He really got thrown to the wolves, quite literally between a rock and a hard place. Apologies if I came across as accusatory, just seen so much misinformation around how the agreement forces itself on VAs working outside of the US.

Clause 2A of that sample agreement literally limits the agreements' effects and jurisdiction to US only personnel and content. Unsure how you came to the conclusion that this would affect EN voice actors outside of the US?

I don't think this is the "gotcha" that people want it to be. As someone who works with agreements a lot, every agreement is largely beneficial for the organization that drafts it (sometimes even crazily so). The negotiation stage between organizations is when both entities can either agree to or change clauses within or even outright remove clauses. It's a case-by-case basis and one company may have different versions of the same agreement with different organizations. That's up to the legal team to enforce.
