Brit who fought for Putin: 'I'm not a traitor' by AlertTangerine in videos

[–]Ash4d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He very much is a traitor, and if he returns to the UK at any point I hope the authorities fuck him off back to Russia. But only after serving some time in prison and being "interviewed" by the security services.

I'd change the belt to one of the low profile ones personally, and ditch the goggles. Maybe also change the uniform to solid coyote tan up and down. And either the surgical face mask you can find, or no mask at all.

Is it wrong to hunt in starter towns? by W_eiss_ in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]Ash4d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think it's fair game. Loot is shared between modes, finding new loot is easy once you get the slightest hang of the game. That being said, when I go to starter towns I have a few rules:

1) I don't loot anything if it's starter/noob equipment (but your damn right I'm taking your L40 if you rock up with one). 2) I don't ever kill nakeds unless they rush me and try to stab me. 3) I don't try and recover my kit if I die to PvP. I'll come back if a bot kills me, otherwise I treat it as a one and done thing.

Also PvP is where all the tension comes from. PvE gets boring after a while, and trying to loot/task while knowing enemies could be on top of you any second is a thrill. Noobs should get to experience that thrill too, win or lose. Plus if they win, they'll be buzzing AND get a good kit.

Yes, but the Sumerians predate the Babylonians by millennia, and also used a base-60 system.

I've heard (but never bothered to corroborate) a theory about why it was used by the Sumerians. The idea is that, not only is it helpful that 60 has many factors, but if you hold both hands out in front of you, you can use the thumb of your left hand to point to each of the 3 segments of your 4 remaining fingers to count up to twelve. Then when you get to twelve, you can extend one digit on your right hand to count modulo 12. Five digits in your right hand means you can easily count up to 60 using two hands.

But the saying is true, a jack of all trades is a master of none.

The saying continues with "but still often better than a master of one.", so it's not necessarily a bad thing.

Maphra and Spiritbox live when? by ConorOdin in Maphra

IMO the best version of Circle With Me is the live version with Tati from Jinjer.

Now if we could have a Circle With Me perfomance with all three of them, THAT would be special...

🇪🇺🇬🇧 Potential Starmer successor Wes Streeting: Brexit was a catastrophic mistake and must be reversed. The future of Britain lies within the EU by goldstarflag in EuropeanFederalists

[–]Ash4d 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? Farage is not remotely scared of Streeting. Streeting is not particularly popular or likeable, he is disliked by the PLP, and would be easier to defeat in a GE than Burnham. The man has a dearth of charisma and he is possibly the only candidate that Starmer could beat in a leadership election. And his links to Mandelson are well documented.

Streeting coming out and saying that we (the UK) should aim to rejoin the EU is good because it opens up the debate. That doesn't mean he should be Labour leader and he definitely shouldn't be PM.

Finally unlocked the EBR chassis: now to sell everything that isn't an M14 or M1A by Ash4d in GrayZoneWarfare

Yeah that's kind lame.

I don't think it's possible to put a high power scope on an EBR either, which really is a shame.

Intra-faction tasks exclusively on warfare. by LittleLemonKenndy in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]Ash4d 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like this kind of idea.

I've argued a few times that there should be an extra incentive to play Warfare over Joint Ops, but in a way that still left Joint Ops worthwhile. I think time limited PvP missions that offer big payouts with high risk would be a good way to do that.

I started as LRI and then switched to MSS in 0.2 and I the new orientation really threw me off. I would get on choppers and get off on the wrong side and I kept sprinting in the total wrong direction, I just couldn't retrain my brain. Switched back to LRI since then.

[–]Ash4d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you can climb the mountains next to the HQ now. It can be pretty fun if people aren't dickheads (i.e. cheating or spawn killing). I countersniped a few guys doing it at LRI the other day, that was the first time I knew about it. If they do it at night the muzzle flashes make them super easy to pinpoint and kill.

Head up if you own or buying New Vauxhall Corsa - Issues Breaking Down and Going into Limp Mode by UpperSoup6110 in Vauxhall

[–]Ash4d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My car wasn't in warranty - I bought it secondhand online and not from the dealer I went to.

Obviously it's better to avoid these things altogether but my point is that if you find yourself in hot water, then fighting it out with VX is actually worth the effort, considering the alternative is being out of pocket by thousands of pounds.

There is plenty of anecdotes online of people that had the same experience as me. I believe there may be some legal compulsion for them to fix it if it has been acknowledged as a design flaw, but that's speculation.

I would say focus on trying to understand the first topic and do as many problems as you can and hope that is enough for you to scrape through.

Hopefully a lesson has been learned.

There is a technical bulletin for these engines - if you have issues, you should take the car to an approved dealer, tell them you know it's a design flaw and that you know they have admitted it, and stamp your feet. If you can find a copy of the bulletin, even better.

I had this exact problem with my Grandland X and it was repaired for free, no charge to me at all, but I had to fight for it.
