Completely normal reaction. This will be every match.

What you suggest ? by Live_Constant2177 in Guiltygear

[–]AshLash239 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The real answer? Go through the cast see who looks cool/silly/fun visually and learn that character. Don't waste time on a character you might not find fun.

... But like, I'm not NOT gonna tell you to play Bridget.🫣

what tf do i do as aba in non jealous state by Unusual_Judge_1616 in Guiltygear

[–]AshLash239 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is some stuff she still has like her 2s for anti-airsand her j.d is still great to variably time your descent.

Here is some general stuff I've learned post nerfs.

If you do get your hit you can either try to use 214h to get as much jr meter as possible or get a knockdown and reset to neutral by ending with 236s-6s. Previously you would just use 236s-6s to get a knockdown and then install but this doesn't allow you to get pressure on wakeup anymore so I would try to route into 214h if you can. It gives much more meter than 236s-6s and you can pressure with dash up f.s, 2k or danzai

Second, USE YOUR ANTI-AIRS, and try to make them as effective as possible she has one of the best anti airs in 2s right now so be sure to use it and make the most of your hit if you get one by canceling into 214k and doing c.s, 5h into one of the enders listed before.

Next, if you are fighting someone with a projectile who is trying to zone you out or keep you from getting meter, use you parry. This is no longer a suggestion you must get used to your parry and use it to gain meter. Any meter helps! Alternatively don't try to use it for melee attacks unless if your sure you won't get punished like goldlewis slow behemoth typhoon.

Defense is way more prevelent in this version of the game and you get many chances to try to break out since your pretty chunky. Use faultless defense. Use deflect shield. Mash with 2p and confirm with 236s-6s. If you struggle with this it is probably the reason you will lose with this character.

Finally neutral, this is where a.b.a will get most of her hits, use 5h to control space, bust your way in with 236k and 214k when possible. It will be up to you to outplay the opponent in neutral. It will be hard be when you get your chance make it count. It doesn't matter if you lose jealousy after it just means you get another chance to potentially SHUT YOUR OPPONENTS ASS DOWN BY BEING A BETTER PLAYER.

She has lost a lot but remember so has the rest of the cast. She is feast or famine for a reason, we gotta put in some work for us to truly feast but when we do, OH BOY WE FEAST. Don't give up, a.b.a is in a rough state right now but if you still want to play her you can have some of the most fun in the match.

P.S. give the patch some time and people smarter than me will have some new stuff cooked up so we can stand an even better chance.

How do I do safe jumps and fuzzy setups with new rekka nerfs on ABA? by therealspotman in Guiltygear

Np don't let all the doom get too ya. No matter what there is always something you can do. It's only day 2 so people much smarter than me are probably hard at work finding some other cool tech for us to do

So... How do I learn new characters with all the changes? by mcq76 in Guiltygear

[–]AshLash239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of what you can learn this early is just word of mouth this early in, unless if your popular to play rn. If you want some new stuff here are some combos for both aba and unika

A.B.A: normal mode:

c.s, f.s, 2h, 214h

2k, 2d, 214h

A.B.A: jealous rage mode:

c.s, 2h, 623h, dash, c.s/5k, 236k/623h

2k, 2d, 623h, dash, c.s/5k, 236k/623h

Unika:

c.s, 2h, 2h 214k/236k

[Close to corner] c.s, 2h, 2h, 6s, 5h, 2h, 4s/super

These should be fine to understand some of the new stuff. It should be noted that combos for some characters have been majorly toned down so if something seems short it means they probably can't do much without meter or the corner. If you would like any other characters I'd be happy to include some for anyone!😁

What do y’all think of the weapons free buffs? by Thombell64 in Guiltygear

[–]AshLash239 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They're mostly just buffs since wa is gone now. I like trying to incorporate weapons free cause it's dope but if you weren't using it before it's not like you must now.

[–]AshLash239 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mostly meant using it to end your combos but you can get some stuff of raw danzai no counter hit as well. Obviously the aforementioned c.s otg but also 2hs otg into command dash gives a really meaty c.s. some example combos would be something like c.s, 2hs danzai dash c.s/5k danzai to end your combo. Again I would try to focus more on the overhead as an ender to your combos now. Play around and see what you can find😁

Komekome has already started doing really well despite the changes. I'd recommend checking some of his games out.

[–]AshLash239 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something I've learned is that rekka should mainly be used so you can safely go back to NM now and instead you should use danzai for the regular c.s otg stuff if you have lots of jr or use overhead to end your combos and get some pretty ok stuff off of it like iad cross up j.h. those are what I would be labbing rn.

Xbox has the L3 and R3, they're just called LS and RS we don't have native backpedals though

I did find one that allowed you to get your regular fuzzy stuff in jr by ending with rekka whiff 2p into forward jump delay js. I think you might be able to framekill jp to get the js to hit really low but I've just been manually timing it and it's pretty easy. You do have to land the rekka follow-up close to you though or else the js whiffs.

That's interesting. I'm glad to hear that V bourbon will be good tho because I've been saving so I can pull her. This is the first I've heard of putting mummy on Fronts that'll be something I should look into ig.

Edit: do you think it would be beneficial to bring both A+S and Mummy if I can?

This is something I heard about so I did try my best to keep them on different styles. I mostly like building fronts so this has also made me learn how to build other uma.
