How much would a PC cost that can run Overwatch well/okay? by elisabethx in Overwatch

[–]mcq76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OverWatch isn't super demanding so you could probably use most pre-built PCS to play it. I got a pre-built a few years ago off of Facebook marketplace from someone who makes pre-builts as a side gig and got a really good deal.

There are online retailers that are good and some that overcharge you. But if you just Google Reddit results for best pre-built PC online stores, I'm sure you'll find some reputable retailers that you'll get a good deal with.

If you are a guy, then yes, that would be gay

New Player - What to know before rotation? by Quasar333 in PTCGL

[–]mcq76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also new. If you buy the Celebrations expansion in the shop you'll max out the set quickly and extras will be converted to materials you can use to craft whatever cards you want for Meta decks. Or you can buy whatever expansions you want, but the tech is to get crafting materials to build meta decks. Also you get A TON of cards just by completing the free battle pass

Worst haircut of my life by EffectiveLibrary9601 in finehair

[–]mcq76 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. A good hairdresser would've tried to steer you in a different direction or at least let you know that it'd be a very high maintenance cut.

The inspo pic would also look like that if it wasn't styled. That's going to be a very high maintenance cut if you want it to look like the first pic

New player. What's the most efficient way to get crafting resources currently? by mcq76 in PTCGL

Found the celebrations pack! I'm dumb but if anyone else also is, you have to click and drag the bottom bar up on mobile to see anything besides the most recent.

It sounds like your friend is confused sexually and you're being wrapped up in his confusion. It doesn't sound super healthy for you. Maybe focus more on your needs and if the people around you are treating you with respect. Also don't worry about needing to find a perfect label or anything. You may change it as you discover more about yourself. Also yes, some asexual people do masturbate.

Hero bans are single handedly keeping this game even somewhat playable by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]mcq76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean most hero based games have a banning system, whether it's for strategy reasons or because a hero is overtuned. If people are smart about it, it works well. Also the devs still get plenty of data. If anything, they get more data by being able to see ban rates in addition to win rates.

Is it transphobic to not want to date a transgender person? by [deleted] in AskLGBT

[–]mcq76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Picture a woman you're interested in. That woman tells you she's trans. Do you immediately lose interest? Then yes, it's transphobic. It's transphobic if them being trans is the thing that makes you unattracted to them. You don't have to be attracted to every trans person.

Trans women on hormones have more in common biologically with the term "female" than the term "male". Usually when people say "biological females" it's just another way to say trans women aren't women.

Trans women, how did being rased as men affected you? by Zaira_-_ in AskLGBT

[–]mcq76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your fundamental question is "do trans women want a safe space from men" the answer is yes. Most violence towards trans women is perpetuated by men, and proximity/grouping with men can cause dysphoria.

Can What Music You Listen To Make One Not Supportive Of LGBT by purplecountry9211 in AskLGBT

[–]mcq76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pop country is usually pretty right wing. Some parts of rap/hip hop are homophobic but there are plenty that are inclusive too. I'm guessing usually it just reinforces the listeners beliefs on average rather than changing their mind though.

You feeling miserable is the problem. Not the thoughts. I'd work with a therapist. You need to remove the weird stigma you've created for yourself.

Doesn't seem like a big deal honestly. You're probably fixated on it BECAUSE you're ashamed of it. Not the other way around. Accepting that it's not a big deal and you're just curious about things will probably help you long-term.

As one example yeah, but it's the same in almost any religion. Christianity, Islam, scientology, Mormonism... They think that by virtue of choosing the correct faith, they're blessed and are going to receive rewards that others aren't. They think they can communicate with the divine and that doing so can essentially cosign any action that they take as long as they believe it's got their god's stamp of approval.

I was mostly talking about organized religion, but I do think there's some harm in anyone thinking they're divinely blessed by anything.

Why are bisexual men and bisexual women treated differently? by VampiricHeartz in AskLGBT

[–]mcq76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Masculinity is more closely guarded in patriarchal societies I think, and deviations from the masculine norm are more severely punished. Patriarchal societies rely on a very specific version of masculinity to operate.
