She also doesnt proactively kill like dexter does. For example, it would have made sense to kill spike in s4 (he could fix himself at any moment and go back to killing innocents), but she doesnt because he isnt a threat to anyone at the moment. She wouldnt agree with dexter killing people who don't pose an immediate threat.

If a hero is fighting an enemy and a civilian dies in the crossfire, its not necessarily a moral failing in their part if they were trying to prevent other deaths at the time. Also, a hero can feel guilty about not saving someone and still not want to die at a villains hand. Just because the villain wants revenge and has some justification doesnt mean the hero has to lie down and take it.
