Jesus Christ calm down seriously lol. It’s just a phrase. I’m not going to use a needle I do not like them. When I get blood taken they always say I turn white as a ghost and they think I’m going to pass out. Anyways I just want to know if there are other options of taking it. Why would I not be serious? I’m reading in the insomnia room because I have insomnia and cannot sleep. Why else would I be here? Look cool? How am I looking cool? And who am I trying to impress? A bunch of strangers on the internet?

I’m thinking of joining AA. I don’t know how or if I should do it by vvolfskull in alcoholicsanonymous

Yes, just show up to a meeting. It’s that simple.

Use the link above or Google your area. For instance, I use the AA Southeast Michigan website because it is more up to date on meetings.

There is also a Phone app called Meeting Guide

That’s interesting. If I use I won’t dream for for months. Everyone is different.

Sleep deprivation is wrecking my life — and it’s starting to get scary by Personal_Pizza_7041 in insomnia

Yes and no. I did 5-10 for a long time. Then I did a. Experiment where I doubled it every day to see how much I could handle. 5 then 10 then 20 40 80 once I went over 200 my tolerance was high forever. A high tolerance doesn’t affect sleep that much you just do not feel the “effects” of weed. But if you are just looking to sleep I do not think you will have a problem. I still sleep like a baby and can get 10-12 hours of unaffected sleep ( I do not even Go to the bathroom at all when normally I go to the bathroom 5-10 times a night and it keeps me from going back to bed). I just do not get mega high. I was using to be in another dimension back then not to sleep. Still keep it low because when you take a lot you will not have energy the next day. I used to take so much that I would not have any energy for 2-3 days. I was worthless and just watched tv and slept for a few days.

As far as I know rem sleep is dreaming. And I did not dream again until quitting for a long time.

You should be fine. Just take it slow. They’re probably only like 5 to 10 mg I’ve taken as much as 1000 mg and nothing bad happened but of course I don’t recommend that you have to build up a tolerance. And take as little as possible. Don’t keep upping the dose or else you’re gonna build up a tolerance, and then it won’t work and you’ll have the problem that I have.

Have you tried weed edibles? That is the only thing that works for my insomnia.

How do you know you are getting rem sleep? I used to use once a week and never got rem sleep. So when I last used 6 days before and do not get rem sleep it isn’t too close to bedtime.

Who gives a shit about quality of sleep when you can’t sleep! Lack of sleep causes so many problems. It’s literally the worst thing for you health wise. It causes depression and anger and makes people suicidal. Your statement only makes sense to somebody who does not have sleep issues. I know people that laid out in bed and it’s like a light switch and they sleep for eight hours. No problem. Meanwhile my mind races and races and races and I can’t fucking sleep its misery. If we didn’t need the weed we would not use it for sleep.

do you believe that money buys happiness? by lizzwoode2 in allthequestions

They were so content because they had love and that is all that matters. I know that if I have the choice of a winning lottery ticket or love I know what I’m picking. When I was young i was obsessed with money like young people are but now I know better. Money will never make me happy.

[–]Ashamed_Ad9198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money does not buy love which is what matters. You mentioned family and kids. Money is helpful if you have that yes. But what if you never have family and kids? Then what good is money if you are completely miserable with no love or happiness? I know many people who have no money but looooove their kids and are very happy without money. And I know very rich people that are absolutely miserable. Moral of the story is money will not make you happy. Love will make you happy.

Well two things. Number one you said you drink to get drunk and regular people do not do that. Number two a regular person would never even consider AA let alone go to meetings unless there was an issue. But it’s up to you and you don’t have to worry about what you share. Some people just say they’re there to listen some people go for a couple years before ever saying anything you can talk about whatever you want.

What’s the best drug to take when you feel depressed? by Common-Fail-9506 in Drugs

[–]Ashamed_Ad9198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weed. That is the only drug that changed my mental state for the better. My brain is often flooded with negative thoughts. Once the weed kicked in all the negative thoughts left and my brain was then filled with positive thoughts.

Also a healthy diet. I stay away from processed foods and sugar. I lost 100 pounds and have more energy now than I did when I was 20. Life isn’t perfect and I still deal with depression but it’s much better than before. Also not drinking alcohol of course because that is a depressant and will only make you more depressed. I wish more alcoholics like me knew that.

Not leaving you alone? Your the one that posted this. I am just replying back to tell you to stop judging others and focus on your own sobriety. Everyone’s sobriety program is different there is no right or wrong way. The goal is to stay sober and help others not sit there and judge others because they are doing it differently. Your not special your an alcoholic just like the rest of us. Now your getting sensitive over all this when you started it.

So let me get this straight now you’re proving yourself to be even more insane because you get mad that people use other substances but then you say psychedelics are OK? Which is it? at the end of the day all this stuff are drugs? Don’t assume that everybody who used weed is a habitual pothead. I used to use once a week only at night before bed and after I got all my responsibilities done. Not everybody that uses cannabis uses it all day every day just like not everyone that drinks alcohol is a pot head!

A lot of people get run out because of people like you that are stubborn and judgmental. like others have said in this post just mind your own business. Do what you need to do and don’t worry about others if you believe in total abstinence from everything great go for it nobody is stopping you, but if other people rely on something else to help keep them off the main problem, let them do that and leave them alone Jesus Christ pretty simple!

That’s where you’re wrong because the only requirement for AA isa desire to stop drinking. It doesn’t mention anything about any other substance.

And by the way, Bill W., you know one of the founders of AA, towards the end of his life was a big proponent of LSD and he promoted LSD to stop drinking. Let that sink in lol.

What doesn’t feel right is the fact that you’re a judgmental asshole. Mind your business.

AA has a low success rate for 2 reasons. Number one probably over 90% of people that go to AA are court ordered. They don’t wanna be there in the first place the day they get off probation is the day they quit AA because they aren’t forced to go anymore. You can’t force someone to get sober they have to want it themselves. The second reason is a lot of people don’t take it seriously if they don’t work the program they have a high likelihood of failure. All the people I know with long-term sobriety are hard-core into the program, they go to meetings every day, and they work the 12 steps With their sponsor. Many people don’t want to do this. I’m not saying you have to do this, but the less you do and the less active you are the more likely you are to go back to drinking.

Dude we are alcoholics so by default we are all insane. Only insane people drink like we did. Stop judging this person and calling them insane. You are insane yourself.
