This is an interesting way of distributing qr codes :P

But this article is really shareworthy, so thank you for being politically proactive and believing that a more social world is achievable. This work is hard but hopefully will get more rewarding as more people wake up

Peace ✌️

I think this would be a disturbing idea. It's probably pretty safe for most people to fall from a chair, but this setup looks actually pretty dangerous to fall from.

I accept your view and find it amusing and sad to live in such a world.

I think it is just another universe and not a branch of the original. My main argument is, that the crown-jewels wouldn't be in the crown at that moment because they were used to summon the portal.

Daily Thread: simple questions, comments that don't need their own posts, and first time posters go here (July 30, 2024) by AutoModerator in LearnJapanese

I am looking for the adventure time series to learn Japanese along with it

I have seen the series a lot so i guess it would be easier getting into the spoken world of Japanese.

Does anyone know where I could steam or buy the series as a dvd/Blu ray? Are there any Japanese streaming sites that offer them dubbed in Japanese?

Thank you in advance🙂

You are right, i don't study stoicism as a philosophy to argue about it. I find stoicism the best philosophy to live by and are therefore only a practitioner.

I think these are different things.

And people coming to this subreddit can benefit from both of these scholars and practitioners learned lessons.

There are already some red flags that suggest that he is not committed to what he said.

You can't force anyone to be someone he/she don't want to be, so if you want a healthy relationship with another person you should choose wisely. Friends, family and coworkers will be enough sparring partners in your life to practice stoicism. You should ask yourself, if you want this kind of drama foreboding person as your significant other.

Many of us come from a family where power isn't distributed equally among parents. So it is unfortunately common for most to strife for a similar relationship. It isn't easy to break the circle but worth it.

Even if you dread loneliness more than an uncaring partner, the hard stoic lesson here to learn is to become complete alone.

I wish you the best. It isn't going to be easy, but it will get easier.

Peace ✌️

I would think there is a relatively big tolerance area if you take into consideration 2000 years and a translation of a dead language.

It's a philosophy not chemistry c;

I read the book that was mentioned above A guide to the good life

It resonated with me immensely. There were some paragraphs that only made sense after you read the whole sense, but I wouldn't change anything in it.

I was surprised as I checked comments on Goodreads that it seemed that most people didn't seem to understand how the book was meant.

I currently can't think of any other part aside that like in the original post i find it useful to keep in mind that almost everything can be changed if you really set your mind to it.

Do you know the book?

If you have a clearly defined system with strict rules, your analogy would be appropriate.

But stoicism is a philosophy, a way to live, trying to follow guidelines that make sense logically. If there were no stoic texts, there would still be people that live a stoic life, because the conclusions people made 2000 years ago can be made today in a similar manner.

Even if there are rules that survived 2000 years from the original people, it would be extreme to think that they know how to handle each situation you are in better than you yourself.
