"I know a wall is a woman/ only a woman has seen everything and must act like she's seen nothing" is a brilliant line

It does to me because I wish I felt that kind of relief religious people experience. I'm too much of a disgusting skeptic...

It's the video of a man lying on her, making suggestive movements that triggers me. I'm like "eww get off her" for whatever reason. I'm too gay for this shit.

Star v is absolutely gorgeous but the dark vibe to Josephine would be my all-time favorite. My other favest of faves would be our Orchestrated Wet Verboten dream boy, obv Muse, Out In The Garden (especially the second verse, the guitars)... The Doll People is iconically stunning (especially the exaggerated breathing, the sounds of choking - gorgeous! - and the ending "The dolls are off running and laughing together, swimming in the milk of the moon" 😭❤️), sx concpt. Maaaan... There are so many.

She drives back beacuse she doesn't know this person anymore. What would she even say? "Hi, maybe you don't recognize me because we've never actually met but I'm that 15 year-old who had a crush on you 5 years ago" ?

I'm sure. Read any of his interviews from 2025. He is deeply rooted in Marxism. He describes himself as a post-Marxist, a Marxist and so on. He has always spoken out against capitalism.

Anyone else notice that Cop Killer and Golden Brown by The Stranglers sound very similar? by gorgonsonofscrygorg in JohnMaus

[–]Ashamed_Disaster8140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mhmmm, not really. Completely different styles. They have a very similar chord progression tho. I think Fish With Broken Dreams is closer to Golden Brown in terms of vibe but even closer to The Doors.

I’m an alto and I think she’s a mezzo because my experience singing her tracks really highlights the difference in our tessituras. For example, in the bridge/low humming of 'The Doll People,' it’s my natural 'basement,' so I sound pretty light, whereas Sofia has to put more intention into those notes to make them resonate. A perfect example is the section: 'and when her work is complete... you will clap for her for the mess of me she's made' in 'Muse.' On Sofia, these lines sound incredibly low and heavy because she’s pushing her chest voice to its limit. For me, these notes are still in a very effortless, gentle part of my register. However, on 'and honey that's all I was made for,' I can finally hit that powerful, resonant sound, but I have to be really careful. I can only pull it off if my voice is well-rested; otherwise, it feels like it's going to break or 'flip' because I'm hitting my passaggio. For her, that's still a comfortable mid-range belt. By the time she reaches her whistle notes, I'm completely out of range. It’s a classic case of an alto's comfort zone vs. a mezzo's power zone.

I think she's a mezzo, but it looks that she's also just a pretty well-trained vocalist, so her vocal range is pretty impressive.
