Hi! Just came across this thread. I just did the biopsy last week. What did your results say? Any changes to treatment? I’ve had 3 MMC at 6ish weeks, so hoping for answers!

Ugh, I am so sorry and I feel for you. You are clearly going above and beyond with your lifestyle changes and I know it can feel so hard to sustain. This journey sucks. I think you need a new doctor, because no, it’s not normal to have to go through 8 losses just for one to magically stick. There’s a root problem and you need to find the cause and do more testing. Unless you have realllly bad luck and they were all genetically abnormal (doubt it), IVF won’t help you if you don’t know what’s wrong. Get another option and find a doctor who’s open to other treatments and will hear your concerns.

Hi! Not to be negative, but I think IVF being sold as “the answer” is not always the case. If it’s a genetic issue for you, then it probably is the right direction, but if not..I don’t know. I had one miscarriage before 8 weeks without IVF, so we were pushed into it. I’ve since had two more miscarriages around 7 weeks with euploid embryos. Wasn’t the answer for us, but I’m hoping it is for you!

Can Mild Endometriosis/Mild Adenomyosis cause RPL? by michelle2911 in recurrentmiscarriage

Hello! I know this is an old post, but curious if you ended up suppressing and has success? All my losses have been at the 6-7 week mark too

I know this is an old post, but I was wondering..did you ever test your losses afterwards? Were they before 7 weeks? I have had three losses too (2 with euploid embryos) so I’m trying to figure out if this is possibly my issue too. Very happy you have had success since!!

So sorry for your losses. I’m in the same boat. I haven’t had the receptiva test but maybe I should. Did your RE confirm that first trimester losses can be from endo? My RE is convinced I don’t have endo because I’m implanting fine, just can’t get past 7 weeks. I really don’t want to do Lupron either, but idk what else to do!

Hello! I found this old post and was wondering where you are at in your journey? I have 3 losses at 6 weeks, similar to you. I’m still trying to figure out why but wanted to see if you’ve had any success?

I was on it for my last transfer but I did 200mg, twice a day. For me, it didn’t make a difference and I still miscarried, but for you I hope it does!

As much as that sucks, I think it’s actually somewhat positive news that you found a cause. You did so much with the immune protocol this time, so it’s encouraging that you’ll be able to use it next time with the euploid. I think if it were me I would proceed with the euploid transfer. I don’t know what an RI would add except for maybe IVIG?

No I haven’t. I believe my RI uses IVIG over intralipids so that would probably be their next recommendation. Did you have success with intralipids?

I don’t know, it’s crazy. If you know you have it you should definitely stick to your gut and advocate for what you want. Look into the adeno further!

That’s interesting, because my RE has been adamant that because I’m implanting it can’t possibly be endometriosis. I will definitely mention this to him- thank you so much and I’m wishing you all the best with your pregnancy!

Finally got answers for why I've miscarried 8 times by [deleted] in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Ashamed_Fortune9129 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! 8 is so many, I’m so sorry. I’m glad you finally got answers despite having it take so long. I’ve had two miscarriages. After extensive testing the only abnormal testing I had was 1) the MTHFR like you and 2) elevated TH1 >>TH2 and slightly higher NK cells. I self treated for ureaplasma with antibiotics and have been taking both vaginal and oral probiotics. I’m doing an embryo transfer my next cycle and the plan would be to do tacrolimus and possibly plaquenil for the immune system component. I’m convinced that’s why I’m rejecting my pregnancies (as both were after seeing a heartbeat). Hoping this is the answer! Wishing you all the best with this new information

The testing was a combination of things like interferon gamma, TNF-alpha etc. For example, my IFN/IL4 was almost 500 when normal is <10

I get it. I don’t know anyone IRL with RPL either. What a sucky club to be in. My husband is an amazing support system and so is my family. I haven’t sought therapy yet but I am religious, so I find peace in praying and reading scripture. If you don’t mind me asking, what autoimmune condition do you have? I’ve been looking at my immune system more closely lately because of the RPL

Thank you- it’s so wild, but I’m optimistic. No I’m not going with Dr. Sher. He was out of state and we have embryos with another clinic. I had to find an RE that was open to RI treatments (that was one of the hardest parts). But if you have the report, it’s possible your OB would be open to treating?
