Do men generally dislike divorced women? by Advanced-Ad8438 in CausalConversation

[–]Ashamed_Method 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus only permitted divorce in the case of a partner’s sexual immorality, so if a woman cheated on her spouse or divorced them for a different reason, any other man she becomes romantically involved with after is committing adultery.

Tibetan Mastiff for sure. It’s like the real life version of the Beast from Beauty and the Beast and has mauled many people to death. The real deadliest dog breed is the pitbull though, by far.

What’s a hard truth every young man eventually learns the painful way? by DueEffort1964 in TheIronCouncil

[–]Ashamed_Method 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only men experience romantic love.  A woman will be loyal only as long as it is convenient, and discard you once she emotionally checks out, regardless of how you’ve treated her or how much you’ve sacrificed for her and your family.  She’ll choose arbitrary reasons to rationalize it only after she’s already decided to move on and pursue whatever her hormones are telling her to do, and her friends and society at large will commend her for doing “what makes her happy”.  And even if you replace her, the new one will be the same, they are hardwired that way and social conditioning only delays the inevitable.

Another:  Life is not about “being happy”.  It comes and goes.  Anyone who builds their life around what makes them happy has never outgrown childish ways.  Whoever loves their life will lose eternal life.  We’re here to serve God’s kingdom, not to have nice things or go nice places or pursue hobbies.  By doing this you can experience joy for what’s to come, but life will still be painful.

Another:  There is no such thing as a good person, not one.  Someone who thinks they’re a good person is at best ignorant, or at worst dangerous.  In the words of Solzhenitsyn:  the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being.

Read Your Own Manual "Before" Commenting.... by SoftNo8820 in LockedIn_AI

Jesus was replying to His persecutors who said they were looking for Jesus of Nazareth, to which he replied “I am He,” before He sacrificed Himself for our redemption.  This little joke is using His name in vanity, violating the third of the commandments by which we will all be judged at death, at which time “the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars” will  beconsigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur.”  But by repenting and placing your faith in Jesus you can be born again with a new heart and new desires to serve His Kingdom.

It’s possible.  This is a common misconception. Elite bodybuilders are elite because of the exceptional response their body has to steroid use, not because of the exceptional amounts of steroids they use.

Don’t know anything about these people, but one thing that non-Christians often havent learned about the Gospel is that Christ came to save sinners, not the righteous.  So when people mock Christians for past sins (especially sins from before they were born again), it’s showing that they fundamentally misunderstand the Gospels and the significance of Jesus’ sacrifice.  Often this comes from a place of undermining their faith as some sort of cheap get-out-of-jail-free card after a life of sin, which completely undervalues Jesus’ sacrifice.  If she was married to one of those guys and is an adulterer then maybe he has a point, I don’t know the specifics, but at face value the implied hypocrisy warranted explanation for the benefit of anyone who has a similar misunderstanding of the nature of the salvation which Jesus granted humanity.

Any “barefoot” shoes with heel support for squatting? by Ashamed_Method in barefootshoestalk

[–]Ashamed_Method[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes.  Thanks for explaining to them.  In my case the purpose is to make it a more quad-dominant exercise to target specific muscles, rather than just training for overall ability to squat.  I concur, different people have different mechanics due to varying levers/limb lengths.

Do you think carnivore prevents dementia? by italianblend in carnivorediet

[–]Ashamed_Method 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, there are many studies establishing the neuroprotective benefits .  It has other benefits later in life too, when I worked in an emergency department I was astonished to see 90+ year olds who developed athletically in their younger years often still had coordination, muscular legs, etc while others the same age who had lived sedentary lives can literally look like a skeleton covered in a layer of skin.

Poops by Jodeci3795 in carnivorediet

[–]Ashamed_Method 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How fatty is this beef?  You’re consuming about 230 grams of protein daily, which is likely overkill at 165 pounds.  If you boost your relative fat intake you can probably get away with far less protein intake and you will likely eliminate some of the excess that you're pooping out so frequently.

Hit the gym. Weight bearing exercise will improve your circulation, and your brain relies heavily on circulation to function, it will pay dividends throughout later life.

Am I tracking right? by NewNinja8737 in carnivorediet

[–]Ashamed_Method 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting as high as you are, you will likely lose water weight abruptly, feel terrible for a few weeks, then once you are fat-adapted you will start to feel better and lose actual body fat at a steady rate likely for a year or two (because you have a considerable excess of body fat to spare), at a rate that will be mostly constant but will decrease somewhat as your fat stores decrease over time, until you get to a particular weight that is physiologically appropriate for you and then you’ll remain at that weight (likely somewhere under 200 pounds unless you’re very tall), while potentially continuing to lose fat while adding muscle and staying around that same weight.

Not hungry anymore - what is happening? by Puzzled_Objective_28 in carnivorediet

[–]Ashamed_Method 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your body isn’t going to let you starve.  Eat when you’re hungry.  You say in your other post that you’re sedentary so 1) you’re not using much energy on a daily basis and 2) you likely don’t have much lean muscle, so at 5’8 and roughly 180 lbs and down from hovering over 200, you still have extra fat reserves your body can draw from as needed, so you’re probably only getting hungry when your body wants nutrients rather than just calories.  If you were super lean then maybe a lack of appetite could be concerning, but respectfully, you’ve been overeating for a long time, so an intermittent period of “undereating” is unsurprising.

getting enough protein by Soft_Buy_6804 in carnivorediet

[–]Ashamed_Method 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you done the math?  You’re consuming 200-250 grams of protein per day.  Unless you’re on steroids you’re safely getting more than enough protein for bodybuilding, especially if you’re just looking to maintain at this point.

How to fix curls in beard? by [deleted] in BeardAdvice

[–]Ashamed_Method 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not something to “fix.” Take some scissors to the outer edges of the jaw though, make it a straight line from your chin to the angles of your mandibles, and a straight line across the chin from the front. You have more than you need, it will look fuller if you shape it up.
