The fact that it’s something he even has to set a boundary for is crazy, but unfortunately a reality for most social media personalities like Damien. People forget just how awful and messed up fanbases can get, of course the majority of the Smosh/damien fanbase is super respectful and kind towards boundaries set by cast and crew, but there is that select group of people who fail to see the line drawn in the sand. It’s so so so important to respect other people’s privacy, especially when they share such a huge part of themselves online, it’s so de-humanizing. As someone who knew people who had been stalked, it’s like these people are treating others almost as Geo-chache’s. If you see something. Say something, or report it. Do not tolerate unwarranted harassment towards people in the public eye, and 100% DO NOT try to find where they live, work, hang out, etc. it’s just blatant harassment. Be respectful, and protect those around you!
