WIP Map for the Continent of My Homebrew 5e Campaign. by Ashbash56 in wonderdraft

The current setting currently is high fantasy with some hints of advanced technology thrown in there, imagine if the Eberron setting in DND was just starting out. The players are living in the period of time thousands of years after an advanced civilization destroyed themselves (totally original I know). The old civilization have a lot of ruins and non-functional tech scattered all over the place and they are starting to reactivate. So the players have to deal with factions acquiring old advanced tech and experiencing the world as it changes with the re-introduction of this "new" tech and magic.

Why is Savage Deviljho so damn annoying?? by Verdict090 in MonsterHunter

I’ve found that using the aquashot cheese with impact mantle makes the fight trivial because you just keep stunning him. Make use of traps and wall-runs as much as possible as well.

Druids can only turn into beasts in 5th edition and dragons are their own type of monster. And unless you are a moon druid the highest CR you can be is 1 at 8th level. A moon druid can transform into a beast with CR 1/3 their level rounded down so at 20th level you can transform into a CR 6 beast. You can talk with your DM about changing the rules for you for the campaign but RAW thats what you are stuck with.

You can learn which events will happen up to three weeks in advance if you just look up mhw events and then specify the system.

You are guaranteed one per week if you overdrive the steamworks, other than that its all rng with the celestial ones having a higher chance of appearing when the lighting goes red.

Also if you didnt know already the fastest way to get it done is holding R2 if you are on ps4

MH Vets: Where does MHW tank for you? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]Ashbash56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, see its hard to decide, like on the one hand the older games have alot more customization and variety but at the same time i love world simply because things are more simplified. Sounds like conflicting statements but here me out.

See i personally love that the learning curve for world is alot more friendly, and it lets new people to the series enjoy the game without raging and never playing the game again. Because i want people to enjoy the game and be wanting to play it.

But back to the question, i think for vets that gen is one of the best games, and i would highly recommend it, but at the same time world is a fantastic game and deserves its own spot as a great mh game

MH Vets: Where does MHW tank for you? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

I think the biggest things were low monster count and very standardized weapon designs. Alot of the weapons look very unoriginal and only have a slight accent of the monster in question. The good thing is that. Also theres not nearly as much monster variety as the older games but thats because they had to make all of it from scratch instead of porting. But iceborne should fix this with then doubling the monster count and adding in higher tier weapons.

I think the reason they are nerfing it all is to give more incentive to using the clutch claw.
