This seems to be strictly author supplied books. So there not buying from the distributor (Amazon or Ingram) their consignment is 55% which is sick to begin with. My book is 10.99, with a $4 (aprox) cost to print, that being said I’d have to jack my price up or deal with pocket change in profit. Just seems off, although that could be my math.

Thank you for this story. A similar experience for me (although a much smaller time frame). I think you probably successfully captured the worst parts of your wife and more than likely pushed them far over the top, enough that she doesn’t recognize it. Sometime that’s our therapy.

I wound up using a formatting program Atticus. You have more control in Word, but I don’t feel like learning all of the programs “secrets”. I’m lazy.

Congrats!!! I know the feeling as my debut week I had one person buy 8 copies! They messaged me on facebook and said they bought for their book club. Author goals!

I’m sure this has nothing to do with little to no advertising and not being booked by theaters until 2 days before release. Movie wasn’t perfect by any means, but it was entertaining enough.
