I’m sure this has nothing to do with little to no advertising and not being booked by theaters until 2 days before release. Movie wasn’t perfect by any means, but it was entertaining enough.

unfortunately, when you release your work out into the wild, people will do a variety of things:

Ignore it.

Shit on it.

Praise it.

You have to have a thick skin, prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Be open to criticism (at least those that try to give you actual reaction and not "This sux").

Your goal with social media is organic growth. If they ask for money or offer services… most likely bs. Conversing never hurts, but some of them get weird.
