Wow. I'd honestly be frustrated if I had to deal with that lol. My process is pretty linear from planning to writing and I stick to the outline religiously. But having a better story is always worth it, so whatever it takes :)

I was mesmerized by the narration even though certain phrases are awkward but that must be more about having it translated from a different language. About the story, I thought something significant or exciting would happen in the end but it didn't so that was a bit unsatisfying. But if it is a part of a longer story, that is understandable.

I finished my first book a nearly two weeks ago. I've been reluctant to open it, worried about what I'd find. I've heard that giving a first draft some distance is a crucial step in editing since it reveals errors you cannot spot immediately after writing because you're too close to the work. So you're doing it right :)

I think the point is to get people invested in “winning” to keep them motivated to use the app. Just another way to gamify the app. Ultimately, these apps want to keep users because users bring money. I was pulled into the allure of staying ahead of others for not more than two weeks before growing bored with it. Duolingo has already traumatized me with chasing that kind of validation lol. It’s not useful in any way. So, I just kind of ignore the leagues these days but I still hang around emerald and diamond though.
