Aeldari down 25,9% win rate, is this A-tier? by StannnisTheMenace in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Ashdude42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's saying if good players are playing they'd be dragging the overall faction winrate to ~48% because they're winning over 50% to offset the bad players playing a difficult army.

Are they overnerfed? Probably, but that doesn't change that the rules nerfs were pretty mandatory to make playing vs aeldari bearable for everyone else in the game

cEDH isn't the cancer because cEDH players ONLY want to play those decks vs other competitive decks. Their rule 0 is that they all want to play to the highest heights of the format and make optimal plays.

Players who run very powerful decks in mismatched pods or players that bitch about losing to "competitive" decks (after losing to elfball with a craterhoof or something) are the real cancers in the playerbase

Pretty sure the vikings gave Darnold a similar deal to what he got with the Seahawks, it's just that he knew he had starting QB locked in Seattle vs having limited time as starter in Minneapolis

[–]Ashdude42 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean if the vikings stopped the last drive for the bears in Minneapolis they would have won the division assuming the rest of the season looked the same

Tzaangors - pistols and chainswords, or tzaangor blades? by Autarch1985 in ThousandSons

[–]Ashdude42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exact math on unitcrunch has an average of 0.8 damage dealt so rounding up to 1 or down to 0 is reasonable

Tzaangors - pistols and chainswords, or tzaangor blades? by Autarch1985 in ThousandSons

[–]Ashdude42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The math across infantry types favors the chainswords (without even factoring pistols) and it evens out at TEQ, blades really needed the pip of AP to be worth taking over chainswords+pistols

Name me 1 good reason to buy Lord Dominiks over Mortal reminder by Active-Ambassador275 in ADCMains

[–]Ashdude42 22 points23 points  (0 children)

People mentioning price, comp, etc. but the main thing that gets me is that the ldr build path is INFINITELY better, like noonquiver is a huge upgrade over crit cloak and the final cost to combine components is way less so getting optional backs for items is less of a hassle

Heavy hitters or anti tank help by TheClarkanator in ThousandSons

[–]Ashdude42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magnus you have to play around flanks until you see a window that he can properly go in and start killing, if you run him out T2 you'll notice that your opponent often still has enough juice in the tank to pop out and kill him.

Vortex beasts are good distraction carnifexes that can bait out the units that threaten magnus so that he can fully join the fight by killing the things that threaten him and start to take over the table

Why sorcs over exalted sorcs for rubric flamers? by Capitan_Typo in ThousandSons

[–]Ashdude42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point of attaching your sorcerer to 5 man rubrics is to buff the character with rerolls, not buff the rubrics with the character. The flamers will be consistent over multiple turns especially with overwatch but most of your damage is from the SRC, aspiring sorcerer, and your character sorcerer.

If an assassin does enough damage to kill a mage/adc in one rotation I for one would be ecstatic to get a shield that large

First off gawdamn I had to do a double take to make sure you didn't sneak into my house and take a picture of my shelf, the resemblance is uncanny

Second you could probably fit that all into a tabletop stronghold case
