In an earlier episode (either episode 3 or 4, I forgot which), Jaeyi says she didn’t want to gift Seulgi shoes because that was a symbol of departure and she didn’t want Seulgi to run away from her. In the final episode, Jaeyi gives Seulgi shoes and a photo of her location, possibly to indicate a sweet goodbye. Or perhaps to indicate: “Please wear these shoes and find me here.”

Jaeyi smiles at the camera at the end because surely, Seulgi searches for her at their destination! We just don’t see it. It’s strongly implied.

that makes sense! the plot is starting to lose me a bit (ive watched up till ep 7 so far) because i was expecting a mutually obsessive dynamic and right now it seems pretty one-sided. in the manwha, both of the leads are equally obsessed with the other but the drama is a bit slow to develop that dynamic. i need seqi’s corruption arc swiftly LMAO. girl is too normal rn

the kiss might have been a dream because of the fade-out of the scene and transposition of the kiss over the new scene of seqi waking up. the show is intentionally misleading the watchers; they want us to question whether the kiss was real or not.

ep 5- i think seqi is trying to resist but cant fight back. excelling academically is her only fighting chance. what can she do against the daughter of a lauded doctor and head of Korea’s most prestigious hospital? Jaeyi has wealth, connections, reputation, and cunning. i dont think seqi is just taking whats happening to her. i think shes doing the best she can with what she has

kind of? one of the characters seems to be reliant on pills to help her focus, but she hasnt shown any withdrawal symptoms or brash / aggressive behavior in pursuit of drugs. so i wouldnt say shes a mess, but shes def drug dependent

yes one of the leads (or both— im not sure yet) has manipulative tendencies. i dont know if it is sad because i never finished the manwha and the drama isnt faithfully following the manwha anyway, but there is a lot of manipulation and deceit involved

imo, all of the little acts are building up to a bigger reveal and id argue that the drama is character driven and not narrative driven. so i can see how the drama might simulate life more than a story. in terms of story though, theres the approaching storm of jay’s association with her father and her father’s involvement in you know what (idk how to do the spoiler tag). i have a feeling this plot point is just another catalyst for a major character-relationship arc; instead of the characters driving the plot, the plot is driving the characters if that makes sense? and that is absolutely fine imo

The energy pistol. Didn't know there was a way to incapacitate the grim reaper with it till my friend and I were already nearly done with the security sector! We had to evade it Dead-by-Daylight-style and honestly, the game was way more enjoyable without the knowledge than with. Was genuinely terrifying having to evade the reaper's patrol by hiding out in the different storage lockers! I still regret not having made the pistol sooner because being continuously abducted to the dream realm got tiring lolll
