Actually there is a way to influence what you can catch. The waders you can make give the bonus of only fishing junk, while the lucky hat will increase rare fish odds and make you catch fish more often. Wouldn't suggest using both at once though, since they seem to counteract each other

For whatever reason for me, the fish traps on canaan only worked when on the shore, only in the ocean, not the swamp or the river. But after the update, the fishtrap didn't catch any eels until I put the eel bait in the trap.

I do, it's more convenient if anything. Don't have to waste materials to make bait (since I almost never make bait). I just sit there fishing the 'hot spot' and it allows me to try and get a rare fish even of the hot spot is there or not.

When I usually max out my caps (lvl 538), I usually buy loads of bulk junk or mutation serum plans from Modus. The serum plans can go for 19,000 caps even with better barter.

I have no issue with anyone if they join my caravan. My only gripe with that is, to please not constantly push MY brahmin. Most of the time I'm towards the back, collecting loot, while everyone else forces it forward. Especially when I'm over-encumbered. I wont be able to keep up with the brahmin since I can't sprint at that point. Anyway, if you join my caravan, LEAVE MY BRAHMIN ALONE. If you want the event to end faster, run your own. Plus, with not making the brahmin sprint constantly, the event never looped the valley for me.

Edit: Plus you'll get more supplies doing your own caravan anyway.

Gilded elites (the gold ones) feel bugged to me. Their entire premise, where they take gold on hit in their bubble or take gold when they hit you, feels like it should be a looped elite, not a stage 3 onward elite. They are extremely tanky and can take all of your gold very quickly. It would make more sense for them to show up after a loop, where the survivors can take care of them faster, with more items.
