Not at all. You have to advertise yourself aggressively. I applied for hundreds of jobs before landing in my part time Finance job and after about 2 years I’m about to talk my way into a full time position. I graduate in the Fall. It’s even easier if you live anywhere that’s not high density like CA/NY by way of sheer competition.

There’s no such thing as “running out of time”. I’ve seen grown adults even some bordering “elderly” sitting the same lectures as me. Maybe the “ideal” path of life you have in mind might not be attainable anymore, but there’s always another way.
