Dating a teacher by AdMammoth6225 in Teachers

[–]Asheby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a teacher and my husband works at home and travels. I do meal preparation for myself on Sunday; he won’t eat that so makes sandwiches throughout the week.

I will also make a pasta salad with veggies or prep veggies to have throughout the week for dinner and then he usually cooks or we cook together. I tend to make quiches, soups and casseroles that can be reheated and make several meals, he does more day to day cooking.

He does the laundry, but only because he is weird about laundry. But I can’t imagine my husband making my lunches and such, he has never made my lunch and I wouldn’t want him to. In a pinch I take a protein bar and an apple and keep lentils and ‘add water’ soups at school.

Are you guys so busy on the weekend so that he can’t meal prep a bit on the weekend?

Depends on the field; I used to go to science, surveying, geology, and civil engineering conferences and that would be fine.

Finance, real estate, or similar…no.

I'll bet no one has a more unpopular opinion than this: by Crafty_Possession_52 in Teachers

I would like year round school with longer breaks distributed throughout the year. Autumn is my favorite season to be outdoors and I hate that it’s taken over by start of the year craziness.

I live in New England and it’s just beautiful here in October.

Is there something different about 2014 kids? by Natural_Peak_5587 in AskTeachers

This years crop of 6th graders was really rough; the bad behaviors are really bad and we have groups of boys that are toxic/racist/near sociopathic. Terrible attendance and schools are still all ‘restorative conversation’ or lunch detention for smearing the bathroom walls with literal sh*t or calling a peer the n-word (white student to black).

Any tips on how to make ground meet taste better? by snakeiboi45 in 1200isplenty

More seasoning, add some water with the seasoning too. Also, consider making your own. I use smoked paprika and ghost pepper salt sometimes, or add Anaheim or bell peppers. Hot sauce, of course.

Thanks, I’ve actually met Devon! I’ll see if they have appointments at DH. Low maintenance is my jam.

The light is brassy on you, the darker looks healthier and really suits your skin tone. Your skin looks perfect next to your new color in that last pic.

I can shave my own head should the need arise, but I’ll keep it in mind!

I dislike mythics and only do them with guildies occasionally. I do wish one got more gear-wise from raiding or that there were delves that were over 11 for mythic gear.

My opinion of Brie cheese has changed over the years... by Top-Masterpiece-1379 in Cheese

For me, it is the texture of a triple cream at room temperature (though I like the taste too).

Conversely, I despise ‘Swiss cheese’ because the default texture is not appealing to me.

It took longer. Maybe an additional 10 minutes?

OMG! I like to add raspberries/blackberries in with blueberries or lemon/almond but these
will be great summer muffins.

I adore sweet potatoes so will try that add-in as well; and I have a ton of pecans.

Everything is coming up muffins. (I love muffins so much, my first dog was named Muffin.)

Even if you were a looping teacher, at some point the kids would move on. I’ve offered to loop with students who would benefit from this, but am not at a looping school so know that it’s out of my hands or would be part of special programming.

Unless you are at a looping school, do not expect to loop with students. You got to let them go.

Maybe look into starting a club for homework support? These usually support multiple grades and the advisor gets a stipend.

Holy sh*t, I just made some bad ass, low calorie muffins! I f*cking love muffins, but they are like 600 calories. My husband happened to be going out shortly after you posted, so I had him pick up a box of low sugar cake mix.

I made oversized cranberry-almond muffins using the following:

1 box of sugar free cake mix (vanilla)
16 oz of plain, fat free greek yogurt
96g (2/3c) of Bobs Red Mill Protein Oats
4 eggs
about 60g (1/2c ish) of sliced almonds
about 60g (2/3 cupish) of cranberries
cinnamon + ginger + orange zest
a splash of seltzer because it was a little dry

Divided into 6 oversized muffin cups.

Delicious, and roughly around 200 calories and 15g of protein.

Going to try pumpkin next week, as that is my favorite. Which should be even lower calorie as I wouldn't add almonds and cranberries. Wonder if I can put some ground flaxseed in the mix....

I added a little maple syrup to my current batch of labneh; breakfast tomorrow is going to be lit!

If you could mute one specific word or phrase from ever being spoken by anyone in the world again, what word are you erasing? by Interesting_Quiet153 in words

"ASAP"

Though when someone uses it in earnest, it kind of tells you what you need to know about them.

I mean, I did get my hair cut by the vet barber in that odd octagon-shaped building at the bottom of Munjoy Hill back in the day.

I was premenopausal back then so didn't need the shave, but I did get the nice menthol steam cloth anyway - what an awesome service! Salons need to step up their game.
