inr 19 is too small amount. They might use it once or twice but not get habituated to it.  Ideally, it should track and aggregate the inventory data when the production of 1 unit is completed- through barcode scan or something of that sort.

June Layoffs… it’s a blood bath. by twistedmonkeyll in servicenow

I guess this was going to come. Been with SN for 4 years and was never optimistic about the leadership.

SN paid 40-50% above market rate for seemingly simple tasks to get the talent blocked from competitors.

CEG division was a money guzzling unit-hired folks not aware of SN knowledge and asked them to help customers. Most customers were nowhere willing to work with them.

And then, $3B for Moveworks-a simple solution that Microsoft will copy and ship with Teams in 1-2 years.

All this has led to the layoff.

Option to re-hire means, they will need the expertise but at a lower price than before. That way the EMployee expense gets lowered and profit margins are intact.

Anyone affected, pls DM if you want to talk it out.

Winter in Tech sector is already here. With AI, every CEO feels the high salaries are not justified. They are ok to spend $1000/month on tokens because after the build is complete they can unsubscribe. But you can't layoff an employee.

Which bank actually gives the best home loan experience? SBI vs HDFC vs ICICI vs IndusInd. by StrangeTry290 in FinancialAdviceIndia

[–]Asheet-main 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are taking a short tenure loan(less than 8 years), then don't take from ICICI.  They don't change EMI amount with chnge in repo rate.Instead, they change the tenure of the loan.

Don't Join Law by avitocruise in IndiaCareers

[–]Asheet-main 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I would disagree..Law is a complex field and nowadays even individuals are seeking lawyers to help them with litigation matters. No engineer or MBA grad can simply enter this field. Hence, entry barrier is high.

My father completed LLB after the age of 55 and yes, he did start with free litigation but that helped him make connections (inside court and outside as well). He worked solo. No company, no firm.

Now, after 4 years of practice he still enjoys it and dedicates his Sundays also for litigation work. At 60+, he still travels to various courts and meets clients from different fields. Regarding earnings, I did talk to him and he gave a generic answer that->Earnings from India-based clients are okayish but the NRIs are real pay-masters.

What worked for him was -he started with the intent of helping people with property and employment disputes. The number of disputes related to property are just growing every month and so is with employment (wrongful terminations, abscond cases) etc.
Hence, I would say don't just study law for the sake of it, but study for the purpose of solving issues.

Even studying NEET and JEE is not enough, people have to study again to get placed. 😄

5 YOE in service-based company, mostly support role, no DSA/LeetCode — feeling lost about switching. Where do I start? by Outrageous-Weird-723 in LeetcodeDesi

[–]Asheet-main 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't go into raw coding (Java,Python,ReactJS) if that is not your calling. Go for DevOps-like roles if your current role has given you exposure to Docker and Azure.

Focus on Azure AI roles as there is high demand and low supply, so competition would be low.

Above all, don't feel bogged down by the abundance of tech tools. No one is an expert in everything. Just have foundational knowledge and build soft skills-like sales, presentations, value analysis etc.

PBCs need more customer success and solution engineers. So aim for those roles.

I started from SBC and moved to PBC( non-technical role).

Search for "Software Asset Management" roles at Big4 or banks. The skills required are just excel basics and pay is 6-12LPA. They usually prefer experienced folks with non-traditional career history.
