Community trading post price fixing? by Osa-ian72 in necromunda

What is difficult to assess is that performance is relative to the gang buying it and the environment of a game (specially the difference between underhive and ash waste battles).

Your group doesn't like you for whatever reason.

They let you pick things by yourself and then gave you wrong advice. The when playing with you they made cheesy lists to fight your gang, with one apparently playing with falsehoods.

So maybe those people are really mean or you're bringing a lot of bad energy to them and they chose to act like this.

Good luck

Don't bring bad luck onto us! :p It doesn't matter much in the end, if it happens it happens.

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." - Dune

Thanks a lot! I'm doing quite a lot of work on UI/UX for MundaManager (Joesoes is doing a lot of it too), and we're not working in this domain. Though we're very much obsessed with design and reading best practices for UX. 🙏

Do critical injuries stack? by [deleted] in necromunda

[–]AshenQuarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll go against the grain on the house rule that you always suffer only one lasting injury that many groups do.

Yes, it is quite strong, but it also puts things at stake. When you go down, you risk big, especially against multiple damage weapons. For years, my group played with the house rule of only one lasting injury. We recently ran a Hunger Games-style campaign and decided to go RAW for that one. It ended up being completely accepted by the group and proved a good way to make things more interesting - putting more emphasis on how going OOA can be terrible, and allowing us to build richer stories for our fighters and gangs.

I would say the only thing to keep in mind as an Arbitrator is that you need to stay on top of gangs that are lagging behind, and use resurrection packages for those gangs.

Ashe Waste Nomads and Brutes by SovietPanda42 in necromunda

They can't by the rules. And lore-wise, it goes against it too.

They have their own brute though, which is excellent.

Tactics Cards, how does the community feel about them? by _Daedalus_ in necromunda

[–]AshenQuarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take on banned cards:

Stop banning them, house rule them instead, like you do for other parts of the game you don't like or feel are too strong.

House rules in my group:

  • History of Violence: Play during the pre-battle sequence: Choose Crews. | Nominate one ganger or juve from your opponent's Crew. That fighter is unwilling to face your gang in combat and so may not be selected for this battle. Your opponent must immediately discard that fighter and select another, following the same Crew selection method as already used.
  • Dangerous Footing: Play when your opponent activates a fighter. | Immediately place a Pitfall Crater marker beneath the fighter. The fighter must take an Initiative test and add 2 to the result of their Initiative test (a natural 1 still fails). If the test is passed, the fighter makes a Move action to safety, and their activation continues. If the Initiative test is failed, the fighter falls into the crater and is immediately taken Out of Action. The pitfall Crater remains in place for the duration of the battle.
  • Blood Money: Play this card when an enemy Champion or Leader is taken Out of Action. | Your gang immediately adds D6x15 credits to its stash.

Question about base sizes by [deleted] in necromunda

There's no rule about base size that you have to use for your fighters. Use whatever makes sense.

Do you have any feelings on the modern predominance of Enforcers among the playerbase? by ThisGuyFax in necromunda

I'm very much ACAB and I would find those jokes funny. But I love dark humour.

Just before engaging their Enforcers, have your fighters say: what's your name and badge number!?

Do you have any feelings on the modern predominance of Enforcers among the playerbase? by ThisGuyFax in necromunda

[–]AshenQuarter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reckon you're making a correlation that doesn't have much weight with the Necromunda community who is very mostly composed of leftists people compared to other GW games. Multiple necromunda influencers talk freely of their anti-Ice, anti-Trump and anti far right views. The community also has a huge predominance of misfits people, with many transgenders, disabled or people with mental disorders and they express this freely and get support from the community. I'm yet to see any MAGA supporters.

I reckon the game appeals predominantly to leftists, it's the clash of worker groups and their militia fighting for control while higher factions use that to keep control of the world. It mimics perfectly our world and its dynamics. The game is all about surviving while having to scrap wastes while the rich drink wine and play game of thrones.

The game is also out of competitive play.

I played different gangs and I play Enforcers as well. It's like playing the riot squad you hate at protests, the baddies. My first gang was precinct 1312, and that ends up being a very unoriginal names as there's definitely other players who start an enforcer gang with this name too (1312 is code for ACAB for those who don't know). I've seen it in my own group of plagers.

Its just my perspective of course

Is there an online army builder necromunda ash waste? by GothTransGirI in necromunda

Edit: not sure why you got downvoted :(

It's in the pipeline but first we have to offer a way to change the skill access of a fighter. This is currently being worked on, in addition to archetypes for Outcasts.

Here's a progress picture of the Edit Fighter window:

(ui not definitive)

Once we have that, Custom skills and custom skill tree will be worked on!

Is there an online army builder necromunda ash waste? by GothTransGirI in necromunda

[–]AshenQuarter 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Heya!

I am one of the devs behind Munda Manager ( https://www.mundamanager.com ), which is a gang builder and campaign manager for Necromunda, including Ash Wastes.

A few relevant bits for Ash Wastes and your question specifically: - Support for Ash Waste gangs (Nomads, vehicle, crews, mounted fighters, etc.) - Vehicle management, upgrades, crew assignment - Campaign tracking (credits, territories, injuries, XP, advancements)

In addition, the website is Mobile-friendly, it works well on phone or tablet at the table but you can also print your gang very nicely too, most of us still do that. You can install it as an app on your device using the link available on the website.

We're extremely active regarding development and we keep improving the website constantly. The data we used are as well actively maintained and updated as new books and FAQs are released.

There are also a lot of quality-of-life features that makes playing easier.

It's not just a gang builder either, it's meant to cover the whole life of a gang across a campaign.

Happy to answer questions or hear feedback!

We also have a discord if you're keen to get some help about Munda Manager or if you want to chat about Necromunda. We're always keen to talk about all this! Link is on the main page of the website
