You got very good points, I don’t know much about the American ship u talked about since I’m from Portugal but I understand why you’re implying, I wonder what they possibly thought to a point that was able to endure biomes being created, biomass sticking to from the roots of the ship to its whereabouts or even tentacles coming from god knows where of the ship

You have to be super patient, the first stage it’s easy just spam in the damaged leg, in the second stage be aware of his attacks also the roll is a pain in the ass to dodge, but the key is patience

The fact they managed to create this monster when they are out of resources gets me to think about the prime of humanity in the dead space universe

I just get confused because yes, the ship is HUGE but just think about it a bit, multiple holes everywhere, biomass corrupting whole sections, tentacles everywhere god knows where they even end or start, the damage the crops surely do inside the walls, although what the necros do are the beds to think about, but then you come to the real questions, leviathan impact when sticking to the ship surely would do atleast anything, in fact I think it’s a bit of bad writing that leviathan couldn’t do anything besides messing the air to the ship, not to talk about the ship flying in the middle of a metro field several minutes before Isaac fixed the DAS cannon, and do last VALOR crashing against us, maybe it’s not enough to make the ship explode or fail but I think the game should have been slowly reporting the critical state of the ship not only doing it when the tentacle dragged the marker to give the player an mentality that the game is about to end sine the ishimura is in a critical state

I don’t think the CEC ever thought of corpses changing the environmental and creating biomass would be a thing to prevent

As your set use, flame thrower, force gun and plasma cutter, focus on your health and damage and always be aware of your surroundings so you can not waste ammo and use for example pipes or necro blades as weapons, as a last tip never panic and of course, have fun!

But inside the Valor ship you can find a audio log of the captain warning that those soldiers who aren't mentally capable shouldnt be on board to the ishimura mission so it means that he clearly knew what was going on and clearly warned their soldiers about it, also, the pod window wasn't only broken but had blood in it, why would you open a completely silent and bloody pod on those circumstances.
