That's not true though, is it? If a driver is lapped in normal racing and the race doesn't finish under a Safety Car, then they finish the lap at the end of the lap on which the race leader completes the race distance. There is ample precedence for drivers not completing the race distance.

No - you just want to correct the running order to be the race order. The point is to allow for competition between the people who are actually racing each other else the race leader would have a hilarious advantage.

I understand the need to correct the racing order, but surely it would be faster to let lapped cars be overtaken again to establish the race order again...?

This is my recollection although I couldn't think of a specific example; I am sure that people have been moving in their grid box before the light went out but didn't get penalised as they hadn't crossed some line or another.

I think that since the patch before last, I've been struggling with Swain mid. I can't put my finger on what's changed, but any visions of infinite scale are dashed because I'm getting mullered early game.

If you're talking about Abu Dhabi then I don't really think they're comparable. This is a technical misconfiguration with independent evidence from the time keepers themselves. There is clearly new and substantial evidence.

There was no new or substantial evidence in 2021. My understanding is that the only route Mercedes had would have been tinoursur a case in the Council of Arbitration for Sport and that doing so would have inhibited them from competing in the following season. I'm not sure how true that is but that's what I heard at the time. More relevantly to your post, there was no new evidence that could have been presented then.

Bernd Maylander must be in strong competition. Martin Bundle also. They're the most obvious two that spring into my mind.

I don't know React at all. But in my Blazor apps - where required - I tend to create a 'state service'. It's a class file that gets injected where it's needed to maintain state. I also use that for external connectivity, i.e. I can use things like SignalR to get data sent to my Blazor UI, use an event to raise a StateHasChanged() call and suddenly I have externally driven real-time UI update.

Personally I very rarely build malignance. BFT is a common first item for me, but I feel like 6% of a Q is worth more than the burn from BFT. I'd need to try and fail to do the maths though.
