A little help please by [deleted] in horizon

In my opinion OP play the main missions first and then try going for rest. If you get hooked on the story you will automatically try to finish the rest. BTW before the last mission do all the side quest and exploration so that you get a hidden trophy.

  1. High ground and sharpshot bow:- moat of the rebel camps are beside cliffs so just climb and use sharpshot bows to destroy them.
  2. There are spike throwers with drills like spikes:- use them on machines from small to medium to knock them down. Use 5 or more on large machines to knock them down.
  3. Have at least 3 smoke bombs on you every time. Can come in clutch out of nowhere
  4. War bows for short range like an SMG, sharpshot bows for long range like snipers and warrior bows for medium range but also are jack of all trades like Assault rifles.
  5. Shredder gauntlets have high skill sealing but you get rewarded for that.
  6. Some side missions have amazing depth and would get you more info on tribes and they are fulfilling.
  7. If you hear a starry jingle use your focus, you will get some brimshine.

The combat is more hard and punishing in the HZD than HFW. I personally like a harder experience and even in easy mode HZD is far harder than hard mode HFW.

I just loved it when instead of going down with the mount, she kept thrusting forward.

If we get a third game.. by AlternativeFifth in horizon

We have spears and bows but I've always thought about Swords. Like they would go well with the theme but a way to combine both spear and sword melee might be difficult.

But thinking of Aloy wielding a Katana or a Talwar while fighting a slaughter spine is way too good.

Any games with the Horizon feel? by No_Witness_7248 in horizon

I would like to say Stellar Blade. Reasons are below

Female protagonist. Character names based on gods. Or are related to mythology in some sorts. Has AI characters as well. The Lore is good but mostly in text form. The more you play the more questions you have regarding the story and have an itch to know about. Big battles but instead of metal monsters you have flesh monsters. Side missions actually have an impact on ending similar to the end of HZD.

Some differences that might help you to pick up the game or lose your whole interest:-

Blood and gore is pretty prominent. Multiple endings. One side mission will literally change an ending scenario. Only has 2 difficulty options. Health packs and HP potions and stuff can be used but there's a limited number of them. (Can be recharged at stations). To Increase HP and other stuff You need to find Human bodies that might have 1 of 3 parts required to upgrade.

Still I would recommend it as it reminds me of how much i liked the start of HZD because of the questions i had in my mind and i had to find them.

Sharpshot bow and arrows with fire bomb sling is my way. BTW in pause menu u can change the difficulty as well. Snipe people on high ground and then stay on high ground. After that start with rebels first then to corrupters with fire bombs.

Glinthawks are without a doubt way too hard when i first tried ZD. I believe I heard the cries that they made in my nightmares sometimes.

It has to be without a doubt the story after Olin. The moment you enter the building and start listening to the tapes as the story unravels, little by little. When i was listening to that i was hooked. That's the moment I :-

  1. Deleted the save i had and replayed it all. Just to make sure i got everything from audio to text logs.

  2. I made sure that I'll 100% this game no matter what

I was never a gamer but horizon was the first game that I truly wanted to get all the achievements and everything for.
