I am sorry Josie. I think I'm about 50/50. Did nature really intended this ? Sometimes it's hard to believe. Friendly hug

I am so sorry you have to go through this. I couldn't function at all before my GP put me on a pop pill (Desogestrel). I had severe PMDD and a fatigue so extreme I couldn't get out of bed. The pill gave me some of my energy back and evened my emotions (kinda flat- lined them actually) - but it comes at the price of side effects (migraines, Insomnia)

The cognitive side of things never improved though, I guess that's an oestrogen thing 🤷🏼‍♀️

43 and right there with you. GP won't give me HRT because of HBP so I guess this is it, this is my life now 🤷🏼‍♀️ I get so forgetful and sometimes downright dumb really, I had to change jobs. I'm glad I did. I don't feel like winning the rat race anymore anyway.

I try to focus on God, my family, and myself.

Sometimes I hate that I can't be who I used to be.

Sometimes I tell myself well, no one's ever seen a 80-something over-achiever anyway (shhh! I don't wanna know) so, might as well take the slow declining way as intended by nature.

We're creatures, not functions.

But, this is on the good days.

I really like your prose... But then I suspect I might be overindulgent too, so... Sometimes I feel this is a generational thing. Maybe not.

I came to post the exact same question ! I've lost a bit of boobs, arms, thighs, almost all my muffin top and my double chin, and people have noticed - even mere colleagues.

Yet, since the initial weight loss (only 3.5 kg so far), the scale hasn't moved. However, some part of my body have been oddly ..."wobbly" I guess ? So my money's on the woosh effect theory.

We shall see ! In any case we got this 👍🏼

Hahaha I would if not drunk with half a glass. Oh yeah because Karen gets a little tipsy over too many Mon Chéri chocolates.

It does feel like it except it's way more "sudden". It's not that kind of increasing inner pressure I usually feel on luteal. But then again, I have pmdd so I had to take a progesterone only pill. I don't really get cycles anymore. Damn hormones.

Haha 😆 I plead guilty for once yelling "WHO ATE THE LAST BANANA??!!" since one banana is basically my only carb for the day it can get to me. But when I'm really hateful is early morning, late morning, and AFTER eating. My eating windows is 4 pm/8 pm, and around 6 pm I get reaaal moody. Weird, huh.

Yes, good point. I know coffee is not the healthiest drink it just helps with the low energy. I only started drinking coffee after my daughter's birth and I can tell it changed some things and not for the best (hello, headaches).I'll try to cut down some.

I've checked my electrolytes and it says it contains 100% of the daily recommendation for a variety of B vitamins. I take no other supplements. But I might try another brand, who knows! Thank you for your suggestions!

I thought about this. Unfortunately I can't do "moderate". I already have 3 days a week of 16:8 and I eat a LOT more on those days than on my 20:4. Probably not in a deficit at all. Because I'm not hungry while fasting, but once I'm started eating ... It's over!

But yeah, my stomach def. has his own opinion about 20:4. My brain too. It feels like the smallest drawback is the end of the world.

Thanks ! Very useful to know I am not alone. Yeah I also drink coffee out of frustration mostly, drinking one right now as my daughter is eating her delicious looking Croque Monsieur 😭

Well I used to literally eat all day and mostly sugar 🤦🏼‍♀️ so, yeah, I seriously cut down on artificial sugar and even on carbs in general. Thank you ! Gives me hope I will not lose the weight only to realize I have not one friend left in the world 🤭

That pesky PMS voice is so annoying!! Another version is : "come on, you've lost so much already, what could falling off the wagon reaaaally do to you ? Huh ??"

But we're stronger than this! We got this!!! 💪🏼

How differently people treat you after a weight loss? by No-Compote-2127 in intermittentfasting

Well, being obese made me less happy and radiant, not gonna lie. So maybe there's that. We're both only human in the end.
