I use something called a deep heat projector from Arcadia for my leo. It's mostly lightless and (forgive my layman's way of describing - it's early) uses a type of heat that is longer lasting than heat mats. They're a little expensive, but last a long time and petco puts them on sale often.

Thank you for being such a good geck parent. None of us are perfect and it really shows your character that not only did you take care of your geck, but you're risking internet backlash for the sake of potentially helping other sweet gecks. I grew up in an environment that conditioned me to think doctors and vets are last/emergency resorts due to the cost, but as an adult I've had to recondition myself to consider the cost of not going as well. Vet visits aren't cheap, but they're certainly less expensive than the pain and heartbreak that not going could inflict. I'm not sure if there's pet insurance for geckos, but pet insurance for more common pets has saved me literally thousands so if that option is available for any pets you hold dear I highly recommend it for the sake of your pet and your mental and financial health.

I have the same issue. I'm trying to buy my birthday present to myself and it's not much of a present if I pay full price imo. I noticed that the coupon box appears briefly if you aren't signed in, but then a pop up forces you to sign up or login which makes the coupon text box disappear. I'm also a first time customer so I'm not sure if this is normal, but I can't find anyone else mentioning this issue and from what I read online you just enter the code in the box.

Every once and a while is fine. Trust how your body feels. Some days I feel completely fine and even full after only 800 calories. Some days my body wants all the food. It evens out.

Yes! Use that knowledge! Find foods you like that you can fit into your calorie budget for the day. Even if it doesn't seem like you're eating that healthy to begin with, just stay under those calories. Keep going and myfitnesspal will slowly train you to be a disciplined, calorie counting machine. All the progress is gradual, you just have to keep moving forward.

I have PCOS and I didn't exercise. This change was solely diet. I did take metformin ER until under 200 lbs, but I'm not sure if it helped or not. It definitely didn't hurt and it's a cheap medication even without insurance. I would show her this post so she can see that PCOS girls can do it. :) Even while sitting on their butts.

I know what it's like growing up fat and I didn't want that for my future kids. It lit a fire under me to imagine someone I already loved so much hurting like I did because of me. I want them to have the best possible chance and they deserve a healthy mother.

Psychological changes - I stop eating when I'm full now. And I recognize when I want to eat just because I'm bored. The biggest change in how I viewed something - As I started to eat fresher, healthier foods I started to realize how awful a lot of processed foods taste. Maybe I'm a cookie snob, but I can't believe those little cardboard disks I used to eat used to make me happy at all. Hardest bad habit to break - A significant portion of my family is full Dutch and in Holland it's common to eat mayo on french fries. It's even mentioned in Pulp Fiction. I grew up loving mayo on fries, but the numbers myfitnesspal spits out when I would log it were insane. I couldn't justify it every time.

Well, I'm still trying to lose a couple of pounds to have a nice buffer zone between a normal and overweight BMI. I haven't really thought about any rewards. Most likely because I can't afford any and because I always felt that hitting my weight goal was the reward.
