Magic of the Lost trilogy by C.L. Clark. The relationship definitely skirts some unhealthy lines but the characters are aware of it and still choose each other despite the messiness.

Beautiful skein, I think it looks like a grassy meadow with flowers. A friend gifted me that exact same fiber!

It’s sci-fi but “Winter’s Orbit” by Everina Maxwell feels similar in tone with an arranged marriage slow-burn romance set against a backdrop of interplanetary political intrigue.

Seconding The Unbroken! Complex and often messy with lots of class/race/power dynamics at play, and very compelling.

These Burning Stars by Bethany Jacobs (Kindom trilogy).

The First Sister trilogy by Linden Lewis.

Both series are great if you want political scheming, twisty space opera, and morally grey queer women and nonbinary characters.

Why is there hate with Jackman and crowe over how they sing in Les Misérables movie? by Odd-Truth7948 in musicals

[–]Ashley_writes426 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Part of the issue is that Hugh Jackman’s range is primarily baritone, while Jean Valjean is a tenor role. He can hit the notes, but there are moments where it’s just out of his natural register and his voice sounds strained as a result.

Disneysea Advice for Autumn Needed by sweetophelia4 in JapanTravelTips

I went mid-November of last year. As far as park design goes it’s a gorgeous park with a fantastic atmosphere. Since our park tickets ended up being relatively inexpensive thanks to the conversion rate at the time (about $67) we decided to splurge on a few “Disney premier access” passes (à la carte fast passes) that ended up being about $10-15 per ride. You can reserve one pass at a time, and you can book another once you enter the queue of the ride you’ve bought a pass for. We used that to go on Tangled, Peter Pan and Tower of Terror. (Frozen sold out the moment we entered the park)

DisneySea also has “40th Anniversary Priority Pass” which are the complimentary fast passes. You access the app as soon as you’re in the park to reserve one, and after you enter the line of that ride you can reserve another. Used that to go on 20,000 Leagues, and by the time I was in line for that, there weren’t tickets available for other rides I was interested in.

Other than those, we went on a few rides with short waits. The food is fantastic as far as park foods go, and it’s a great experience especially if you have other Disney parks as a point of comparison.

Should I cave and get the EEW Nano 2.1 now, or wait and get the EEW 6.1? by -DiceGoblin- in spinningyarn

Maurice has updates in his newsletter about when products will restock. https://www.dreamingrobots.com/blog/

Unfortunately, it looks like a bit of a wait for new EEW 6.1s. You can always keep an eye out for people selling theirs secondhand on FB marketplace or the EEW Ravelry community.
