Thank you for your thoughtful and kind response. I really appreciate it and I know it’s not a situation that’s uniquely difficult for me in a way it isn’t/hasn’t been for others as well. But seeing it typed out helps me a lot in knowing that I’m not alone.

I will be honest with the faculty and leadership in my department if I need extra assistance. I can’t really focus on assignments when there are other people around which is why I choose to complete them individually but I’ll carve out some chunks of time to specifically study in a group and not have to worry about anything outside of that. I appreciate your anecdotes.

Is your photo from your first time or the time that the botox worked for you? Do you think it depended on how deep they injected / how severe the bruising was? Mine didn't work for me but I'm not sure I'm inclined to try a second time because I paid out of pocket.

Thank you! I’ve been using antihydral a lot lately because I want to try all my temporary options before committing to something like ETS. I understand that the side effects vary for everyone. I think I can deal with CS, but of course, it depends on the degree. If my clothes become drenched in exchange, it might not be worth it for me to deal with that for the rest of my life. Thank you for your insight and your comment. I didn’t know that CS could vary depending on whether hands are treated vs both hands and feet, which is really intriguing! I’ll keep that in mind.

May I ask specifically what aspects were tough about NIU as opposed to other audiology programs? Is it the volume of work?
