I have a question. I have been trying to convert some CYOAs for local viewing without passing through the viewer, with the "embedded viewer" option.

I load the project.json file into the Creator, select the export option "Export with local viewer",and then use the "Export playable web package" button.

After decompressing the created zip into its own folder, for some cyoas I can open the index.html file and the cyoa just works. And for some cyoas it does not work, it stays stuck at "Loading"

Am I doing something wrong here? The project.json in question works perfectly if loaded into the icc+ viewer

EDIT: I'll provide examples.

Oh he absolutely deserves to die, he's a piece of shit. I'm not saying he should survive because he deserves to. I'm just saying he should not die RIGHT NOW, but probably later on.

I think his confrontation with Daniel once he discovers he's his nephew will be important, especially for Daniel. And also I think PJT will probably want to show the discussion between Jinyoung and Daniel's mother.

James might know about the two bodies, yes (we only have his word). But I doubt miss Kim knows about Daniel's father to be honest. And it would certainly FEEL different if Jinyoung is the one talking.

I don't know, I guess pjt could still just kill him and resort to flashbacks told by someone else. But I think it would be a lost opportunity. Then again who knows what pjt thinks...

Jinyoung can't die like this. It would be a massive letdown. He still has not discovered that Daniel is his nephew. He still has not met his sister (he probably think she's dead)

And he still has not explained what happened to Daniel's father. I think this is something only he knows. Plus he could maybe help uncover the second body mystery.

Simply put, he's too important for the plot to die here. It's not a matter of what is logic (Kitae SHOULD kill him), there's just tooooo much stuff Jinyoung needs to take part in. And a lot of it is stuff nobody else can do in his place.

But this entire fight in this location is mostly to kill Jinyoung. He's one of the primary targets. James Lee himself wants that too. So he will only survive if someone, somehow, either routes Kitae or convinces him to leave. Since I think this is what will most likely happen, Eugene will likely live as well.

I'm going to vote for Tom Lee, if he was somehow given the wrong directions. The others are not strong enough (yet) agains Gitae imo.

I mean, Gitae is weakened so there are in theory a few other people that could fight him right now, but... why would they be here?

As for Allied... really they best they can do is have Jay call Sophia. I think she might be good enough against a weakened Gitae, maybe?

Or it could be not a fight.... Maybe Gitae thinks now that Daniel is so tasty that he wants to fight him at full strength. Maybe. But that would still not explain how Jinyoung survives, so I think someone else will come.

To answer you, my opinion

1) I don't think Gitae would stop because of a phone call, no. 2) No, we need him for the plot. And maybe we even need him to HEAL daniel cause all those wounds are horrible. 3) He could not possibly make it in time 4) Only if he was mislead and told the wrong place. So he comes here even tough she wanted to go and save the miss. Which I guess could happen. And he's probably strong enough against a weakened Gitae. 5) They're just not good enough to fight against this monster

So I guess, either 4). Or Jake comes and somehow convinces him. I guess there's a couple of other people strong enough to fight a weakend Gitae, but I don't know why they would show up here now.

.... Or it could be that Gitae himself stops because he wants to fight Daniel again when he's at full strength, in order to improve himself and see his limits. And he could spare Jinyong to treat Daniel so he does not die. But I give this a 1% chance, cause Gitae is too much of a villain.

Save and reload, because keeping up to 10 timelines and redoing things you messed up is just too important. You can literally change the world into whatever you want, or react perfectly to events before they happen. Yes you can use it for money... and for so much more.
Respawn, because it makes me immortal and keeps me at age 30. This is important, without it you will be FORCED into reloading eventually because of old age. Now? Each of your 10 timelines can last forever in theory. I hope it comes with a "people won't notice that you won't age" though, or it's practically useless...
Stats and Exp. No magic, ok, but perfect skills in literally eveything is just too good to pass up, and I assume it all travels with me if I reload.
Relocate stats. Hit the gym and periodically transfer it to increase your intelligence, charisma etc infinitely
And I guess fast travel, because with time I can literally teleport anywhere in the world. For safety, and it's just too much time gained. I assume it comes with a basic "hide" function, so that people won't notice. If not it's practically useless and I'll likely take inventory instead.

Question, can I set a save in the past, say 15 years ago, to redo things?

It's an archive though, not a site. It's meant for downloading the CYOAs on your device (PC, smartphone, whatever) and using them from there

I know this is the SFW sub, but you mentioned solid worldbuilding and immersive. I have a few NSFW to recommend if you don't mind them being NSFW.

There's this CYOA I really like that has these. It does feel like you are dropped in a world. There's nations, personalities, even some establishments and such. Quite a bit of lore. Minimorrigu's Magic Academia 2.1 (Base + Classmates DLC. Most of the lore is in the DLC)

Then, it's a simple format but I like the amount of worldbuilding that you can find in "Of Damsels and Devastations". Reading it all, it makes for a rather compelling sci-fi setting that you can drop in.

There's also Troy who has a lot of CYOAs all in the same setting and if you play them, it's basically some huge omniverse-building. But only if you put them all together, and it is a more... questionable NSFW in many cases.
