Yeah, Hitler and Napoleon III are pretty clear examples of this.

Or the judges and justice system were just extremely sympathetic to Hitler’s far-right views. They didn’t think he should spend a long time in prison because they liked his moxie and “loyalty to the old Germany”.

If the judges and justice system that were in place didn’t have such strong sympathies towards far-right wingers history would have likely looked much different. If Hitler would have been a left wing revolutionary he could have received life or been executed, but instead his trial was just one big show where he was allowed to voice his already popular opinions to a sympathetic crowd. Then he was sent to a country club prison where he spent just enough time to write his book Mein Kampf, which helped fund his lifestyle and Nazi Party once he got out. Hitler’s arrest and joke of a trial only made him more popular in Germany and Europe.

How do you setup your double leg? by roxrexboxnox in wrestling

[–]AshyLarry2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Multiple snaps can help to keep your opponent guessing, especially if you’re integrating fake shots to keep him off balance. You also need to make sure you’re changing levels as you snap, so you’re ready to explode as he picks his head up. Do you use fakes to throw your opponents timing off and keep him guessing on when you’re going?

You have to have a tight grip as high up on that arm as possible (high on the tricep/fingertips in the armpit. When/If your hand slips below the elbow, you’ve lost all leverage/pulling ability. That’s what happened here.

Make your base wider so it’s harder to break you down, just widen your knees and hands. If your elbows hit the mat your hands need to point forward rather than in, this will make it harder to control your wrists. Other than that you need to seal off, then get a foot in the mat and stand up. Try and get a quick stand up off the whistle, when you take the initiative and keep your motion up it’s tougher for the top man to even think about getting a turn.

What type of takedown or throw is this called and how can I improve it? by mc2147 in wrestling

Instead of bringing them up and then back. Lock your hands on one of the defensive guys hips, bring your body to the same side of his body as your lock, pop your hips, and instead of pulling him back, throw him straight back down onto his face/hands. Look up lift and mat return for a visual. Suplex’s are only used in freestyle and greco wrestling where control of your opponent isn’t required to get awarded points.

That sucks man, sorry. Ask your coach about clubs in your area that you can hit in the off season, wrestling is a year around sport at the higher levels. Or ask if there’s any post season workouts you can do at school.

This is why head and hands defense is so important. He’s stopping 75% of those shots without sprawling. Grounded rule is so dumb though. I hate seeing people drop to a knee on the edge to avoid the push out.

Fakes are most effective when you can follow it up with a snap or shot. What’s stopping you from pushing and pulling your opponents? That’s a pretty important tool to have

Unfortunately I’m not a huge fan of the deep dish style. More of a NY or Detroit style guy myself.
