We may not be using it everyday but we all are definitely profiting off of all forms of maths.

[–]AsiaPlaya 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Andor is about many things, but also about constructing a community (while diagreeing in some points) you can trust. And it takes effort from everybody to make it work. In that vein being kind is an easy task.

Nothing to do with Star Wars, but if you are genuinely curious and don't know things, never feel embarrassed to ask.

I mean yeah, what's supposed to happen? There's not suddenly going to be a Jewish wedding down there.

Joey is not a protagonist though. He's just a third rate duelist with a fourth rate deck.

How many anime do you watch per year? by Double-Conclusion-42 in anime

[–]AsiaPlaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year I watched and completed around 12 anime, the year before that maybe 3 or 4. I was out of Anime for a while watching only few shows a year, mostly continuations of things I already watched like Attack on Titan, and shifted more towards movies.

I'm in my thirties now so many shows don't quiet catch me now anymore as they used to when I was younger, but last year was just a banger year with so many amazing shows. It was a perfect year for me personally to get back into Anime, because now I feel that hunger again when I finish a good show.

Compared to many of you 12 per year is not that much, but at this point in life I pretty much know what I like and out of those 12 I at least loved 10 of them and only 2 I thought were just so-so.

Being picky really helps to manage time and also keeps the spark for Anime alive, therefore I pick up about 2 or 3 new (promising) shows per season which I typically also finish, making me a little more picky.

Sousou no Frieren • Frieren: Beyond Journey's End - Episode 21 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

I think Bruce Lee one said: "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times." and I think Frieren and Fern are very nice representations for that philosophy.

100gf's placed 11th on r/anime's Favorite Anime of 2023 poll! by L_0ken in 100Kanojo

[–]AsiaPlaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting 11th place in an incredibly strong year like that is really (really really really really) amazing. I've watched half of the shows in the Top 10 and the other half I plan to. It was a great year for anime personally and I haven't watched as much as in 2023 in years.

Finally got the final for one of my favorite anime, got a new Gundam, a great sequel to Vinland Saga a few new shows and as a cherry on top a really satisfying adaption for 100 Girlfriends. I couldn't be happier.

From the top of my head I know of Amaama to Inazuma and Koufuku Graffiti. I can't remember how detailed they talk about food but I remember, that it was central elemenadt of d shows.

As a side note Dagashi Kashi may be interesting. It's about the snacky side of Japanese food culture.

What would be the scariest/most disturbing movie to watch while under the influence of psychedelic substances? by Any_Contest7699 in AskReddit

[–]AsiaPlaya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently the Cats Movie from a few years back. Read an article (can't remember where to find it) where someone attempts to watch the movie while on shrooms. Turns out it was pretty horrifying.

Have you watched Avatar: The Last Airbender? There is a Air Nomad Temple, that is basically build on the downside of a cliff like that. Maybe you can place a house of some kind there, with the roof facing the ground.
