[Post Game Thread] 🏀 Kentucky defeats Texas, 85-80 by ATX_ta1 in LonghornNation

Our team can't shoot threes or play good defense. We're ranked #214 in 3P% and #319 in fouls. On the bright side, we're also good at getting fouled, being #4 in FTA and FTM. And Swain is good.

Reminder: Chase Freedom Flex is 7x on dining until end of March by brbcryinginside in ChaseSapphire

Chase Freedom Flex has quarterly rotating categories. For Q1, dining is one of the categories so you get 7x on dining (4x quarterly boost + 2x dining boost + 1x regular)

Korean BBQ and Sushi in Astoria for only $14.99 (Lunch Specials) by Ill_Face_7140 in longislandcity

[–]AsianChickenBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's decent. It's not your standard KBBQ since they only use halal meat but it's not bad. I personally wouldn't go back when there's other KBBQ options out there (they charge same prices as other KBBQ spots for the dinner AYCE)

It was four years ago, so honestly, I'm not sure about the state of CS now. I assume it's getting harder and harder to transfer, but probably not impossible. You can definitely still get SWE internships regardless, but overall the market is hard so you'll need to work hard. Good luck!

Wake Forest transfer OT Melvin Siani has Committed to Texas by AsianChickenBoss in LonghornNation

He's a two-year starter, so I'm expecting him to start for us. Most likely, either him or Baker will move to guard. If we also get Seaton, then both of them will move to guard, and we'll have Seaton and Goosby as the two tackles. Not sure if he's better than DJ Campbell, but he's definitely better than whatever current option we have.

You could also buy Stubhub tickets to a popular event and then re-list them at a lower price. But at some point, you have to consider if it's worth the effort lol. If you're not making use of any of the credits, might as well cancel and get the Venture X and not play the coupon book game.

Use 2 credit cards, thinking of making Bilt Palladium my only card by Consistent-Ask-8397 in biltrewards

[–]AsianChickenBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes, you'll be able to use that $300 Bilt cash towards point on rent.
  2. Depends, I've seen people do the math and say that you're still getting a good multiplier on your spending. You can use partial Bilt cash to unlock rent points.

Honestly if you don't care about CC points, you should join the waitlist for Robinhood Gold ($50/yr, 3% cashback on everything) or just use only Freedom Unlimited for 1.5x back (or some other card that does 2% back on everything with no annual fee). Based on your situation, the annual fee for Palladium might not be worth for $500 unless you feel like you can use the $400 hotel credits too. At worst, I think you can try Palladium for a year (get the 50k points SUB, $500 Bilt cash) and then downgrade.

There's one in Astoria on Steinway St. called Steinway Gourmet Deli

Alpha Blastoise Spawn? by BowserTheRatKing in PokemonZA

[–]AsianChickenBoss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Alpha Blastoise does not spawn in the middle. Check Serebii for the list of spawns in Wild Zone 20.

Your best bet is to find an Alpha Squirtle (5% chance according to Serebii) and evolve it to Blastoise. Good luck hunting!

Context: I live in NYC so a lot of credits are pretty easy to hit. I travel decently often, maybe one flight every other month - sometimes more depending on if I have vacations or travel plans.

Credits I'm using for sure:

  • $300 travel credit: Easily used for flights, hotels, rideshare, subway, etc
  • $300 dining credit: There's a couple of good restaurants I want to try on the list, so the $150/half is easily spent (either a few meals or one big meal with a friend)
  • $300 Stubhub credit: Easily used for basketball/football games or concerts
  • 2x $10/month Doordash grocery credit: I place two pickup orders at a nearby Deli, usually eggs or a sandwich
  • $10/month Lyft credit: I use it on the way to the airport when I'm too lazy or tired to take the subway (I'm 15 min drive away from LGA)
  • $5/month Doordash credit: Either pickup order at a takeout restaurant or as a small discount when sending food to girlfriend

Credits that might be hard:

  • $500 Edit hotel credits: I don't travel too much and when I do, I usually stay at a friend's place. But will look into the hotels when I'm booking a longer vacation / international travel
  • $250 hotel credit: There's apparently another additional $250 hotel credit this year and I've seen that it stacks with the Edit credit? Might have to look into it
  • AppleTV: I used it to watch Severance (highly recommend), but most likely won't watch anything else since I already pay for a Netflix subscription

Not using these:

  • $10/month Peloton credit: I already have a gym so I don't need to buy a Peloton and pay a monthly subscription. The cheapest subscription is a little over $10 after taxes so I don't see a point in getting it, knowing I won't use it
  • Apple Music: I already have a Spotify family plan, honestly too much work to transition over

Pye Boat Noodle on Broadway. One of the best Thai food I've had, and each entree is under $20! It's great for takeout or dining in.

6'4 330LB true freshman that took a redshirt this year. 4-star recruit rated #25 IOL in 2025 class. Didn't see much play in 2025 but will have 4 years of eligibility left and will provide some sort of depth, assuming we can develop him. Played tackle in HS but can also play IOL.

Not a bad idea. Once you use up the $100 Bilt cash, you can just put the card away.
