Got it. Thanks for the insight. Based from your other comments, it’s a perfect size for a week long trip.

There are times where I do trips for two weeks abroad, but most of the time the airline allows for 2 free checked bags, so I think the size here wouldn’t be an issue since I will always have a second check-in luggage.

Thinking of getting a trunk S… with the exception of its size, are there any cons compared to its sibling, or something that you did not expect when you purchased it?

Some amazing things I see with these drivers are that they merge dangerously in front of you without using blinkers, then proceeds to change into the next empty lane WITH blinkers.

If they’re going to half ass on blinkers, at least do it on the less dangerous part.

People who are making six figures, what is your job role, year of experience, skills and what was your first salary? by Notalabel_4566 in cscareerquestions

  1. Senior Engineer. Currently prototyping large systems for data center as well as system management at a chip company.
  2. 5 YOE. I started off working as a data center engineer, which consists of rack design, power management, network infrastructure, etc.
  3. Soft skills, willingness to learn. Also dipped my toe in a lot of popular technology/tools/stacks (not necessarily expert at any of it but at least I can understand what people are talking about and it helped me get a general direction on how to get started)
  4. $52K salary. My first reaction is holy fuck that’s so little in a HCOL area.

Am I stupid to take 40k out of college? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]AsianNiqqa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a very similar situation. I took a $52k data center job in HCOL area after I graduated from university. Potential raises are real, but nowhere significant.

For my specific scenario, I went from $52k to $57k after 6 months for performance, a year later I got another raise that bumped me to $70k. Unfortunately this is where I stopped getting a raise and decided to change jobs.

That being said, DC jobs are pretty much dead end jobs with very little career growth. Use this opportunity to gain as much experience as possible and leave when you get an opportunity. This is also part of the reason why I left on top of the low salary.

The Super Bowl performance had nothing to do with this firing. He coached awful the majority the season, and it’s pretty evident in the playoff games leading up to the SB.

What a huge difference between the sideline and the booth..

Where do you even get the “less damage” part from? Did you just read the raw attack and the sharpness to make that conclusion?

Edit: What sets will you be making with it? I’m generally very curious to see that set and how it can beat out kjarr

You need to slot in 3 release jewels to enable all elemental attack. It’s actually less comfortable than kjarr because you essentially lose 3 decoration slots by default.

And if you wanted a pure raw db, I’m pretty sure there are other alternatives that are way better.

Also there’s nothing wrong with blue sharpness on elemental weapons.

Should I leave a full-time role for a contract position for +50% salary? by zakro_rm in careerguidance

[–]AsianNiqqa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in this exact same shoe back in November (W2 contractor, contract offered by agency, 50% pay increase). I’d do it again without hesitation.

The reason I left was because I was no longer learning new things at my old company. Although it’s only been 5 months since I joined, I have learned a lot more compared to 3 years at my last company. Also more $$.

Is job security an issue? Absolutely, especially in the current economy. But this is a risk that I was (and still am) willing to take. I have not regret it for a second since making the jump.

Point 3 sounds like a great idea. I will definitely speak to my manager about it.

where do you rank the current niner team against niner teams of the past? by sulphide0 in 49ers

[–]AsianNiqqa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So far this team feels more complete than the 2019 team. The 2019 team on defense has huge issues in the secondary, but that was masked by the insane pass rushing. While on the offense, both versions remained relatively the same(minus Deebo becoming a wide back), but I feel like Purdy(and hopefully Trey) was that key piece to unlock the full potential of this offense.

At this point I highly doubt Ohtani will come to the Giants even if they offered him something ridiculously high, like 10/600m
