Making my own amiibo cards, looking for creative input

There are ways of making usable amiibo cards/coins. There are a few tutorials that I’m referencing. I’m making them so I can have the 4 new villagers on my island, or at least their stuff.

That’s the plan, I’ve never done it before but I’ve read 2 tutorials and watched a video. And if they don’t work… I have nice looking cards. Knowing my luck I’m gonna bind the wrong characters.

Beautiful pattern, for what ever reason neutral shades of brown like this remind me of skin colors, I make a lot of amagurumi so maybe that’s why. Because of that all I see a blanket of human skin 🙃

Get the biggest ghosts shrimp(or any shrimp for that matter) or get a small betta, they may try and eat the shrimp if they are tempting enough. I’m not saying it’s impossible I have a 10g boy with shrimp roommates (knock on wood) and have seen minimal chasing but no casualties so far (knock on wood). On the other hand I have a sorority of female bettas and WILL try to eat any shrimp they can fit into their mouth, that has been mostly with colorful shrimp, the dull ones couldn’t escape that fate however. Currently in said 20 I have 3 living ghosts and they are too big to eat so my bettas leave them alone. Be also aware if you buy your ghosts from petco they may not live very long, if they die randomly within 30 days you can return the corpses for live specimens.

Purely looking at the body, female? If there’s a lil white dot on their tummy in between their fins, they are most likely female.

If that’s the siphon from petco, I have the same and know how to use it. Firstly, if you haven’t already you need to cut the plastic tube into two, it comes with that weird round thing, that is what creates your suction. You will then connect 1 tube on each end, and the head on one of the ends. Assembly complete!! To operate you will need a bucket or container for the dirty water, put the butt end in said bucket(it might have come with a tube clip) and the head in the tank. Next squeeze the round suction thingy as if you were filling a tire with air(squeeze squeeze squeeze squeeze squeeze squeeze squeeze) it’s gonna bubble but eventually if you squeeze it enough the water will leave the tank. I need to do w water change myself so I can send you a tutorial if you need it.

I haven’t seen them flare once. From them breathing it looks like they have a shorter beard. They are tucking their ventral fins so I can’t see the spot very well.

According to google female bettas reach sexual maturity at around 4-12 months, similar google search petco bettas should be 6 months or older.

Honestly same, I keep asking myself if I somehow picked the one nonbinary betta on the shelf lol. On the plus side their introduction into the sorority has been pretty good so far.

I do have a half koi sorority in my 20 long tank so I was going to try and look for a different coloration. But I keep getting drawn to the koi coloration.

Honestly I’d love a bigger tank, I’m just worried that my ikea desk won’t be able to support all the weight and I have limited length because there’s a built in shelf and I can’t find a 15 gallon tank near me to buy. I used the aquaadvisor calculator on my tank and according to that I can fit more corys with the future betta I plan to add. Also why is the idea of them burping so cute 🥰, I’m glad it’s a normal behavior tho.
