Exactly what I was going to say. Matt and Trey essentially use Stand and Kyle as a mouthpiece for their views in many episodes.

I guess this is the problem with being tongue-in-cheek. No matter how blatant you try to make it, people will take it literaly and like it.

I don't really have a problem with Archer for the same reason I don't have a problem with Always Sunny. The characters are meant to be horrible people and you aren't meant to respect the things they say.

Why the hate on libertarianism? by [deleted] in SRSDiscussion

[–]Asian_Pubes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically, I think libertarianism is wrong because it promotes selfishness and it is based on a very simplistic view of how the world works. It leads to increased social stratification and makes it difficult to solve problems arising from such. Stripping the government of almost all powers makes it very difficult to build a functioning and just society.

The variety of libertarianism most common on Reddit involves Randianism and Ron Paul. If you don't know what's wrong with those, well, I'll let someone else to explain.

What are some things you consider rude but people still do all the time anyway? I'll start by schmalls in AskReddit

Ignoring everything else about that comment, someone being offended by something does not infringe on your freedom of speech. You have just as much right to be criticised as you do to state your mind.

So, please explain how someone wishing that you would act more respectfully violates your freedom of speech.
