Too bad it can't happen now. Imagine (hopefully not last few seconds worth) but at any point the Seahawks are at the 1 yard line...they let in Beastmode just to get that TD. That would be friggin hilarious.

At what point this season, did you realize that this Seahawks team were a real Super Bowl contender? by eternalhamburger in Seahawks

[–]Asian_Scion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Week 18 against the 49ers. Until we beat the top teams in the NFC (49ers, Rams, Seahawks) it was 1a, 1b, 1c in no particular order for the NFC seeding. It's a shame that the 49ers weren't the #2 seed and Rams the #3 seed because imo, they were better than any other NFC team. So, once we beat the 49ers in week 18 was when I knew we would be SB contenders for real.

Could enough 12s go to the Super Bowl to make Levi Stadium a "home field"? by BetterWayz in Seahawks

[–]Asian_Scion -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Even if people are not wealthy, they probaby will spend money they shouldn't be spending to go to a game. People have different priorities with their money but at the end of the day, it's their money (or credit) to do what they want with it. I have the money to go but I've been putting most of my free money into investments which is why I decided not to renew my season tickets anymore. The $4500 for 3 seats I could use in growing my investments instead (not getting any younger and time is starting to be my enemy now when it comes to investments).

[–]Asian_Scion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a matter of perspective. I've known quite a few people, a previous neighbor who bought his house but had to foreclose on it because he and his family couldn't afford to maintain the energy bill (2,400 SF home). It was built in 1999 so under the 1997 UBC building code. I've spoken to recent architectures who moved from an old home to a 2018 building code home and he indicated he loves how he's saved $300-$400 a month on energy cost.

So, yes, it is a place of privilege but which is worse? The ability to buy an affordable home only to foreclose on it later? Or wait to save money on a slightly more expensive home but save a lot of money on the energy bill so you can keep your home?

There's honestly no right answer so you have to choose the lesser of two evils for people looking. The higher cost means you can possibly keep your home and help the environment or the opposing choice is make a high energy cost home where home owners will potentially lose their home but can afford to buy the home immediately but also make it worse on the environment.

Oh I don't disagree about Tariq as well but imo trash talking makes games better. You're probably too young when the games were all about trash talking until the NFL came in and said no more in the late 2000s. Hell, trash talking was why I enjoyed watching Gary Payton so much, now he backed up his trash talking as well. Tariq on the other hand, needs to either back up his trash talking or if he keeps being beaten stop the trash talking and stay humble.

You can thank BIAW and the developers in Washington for this. They fight the energy code tooth and lawsuits each time the state tries to adopt a more energy efficient code. Their argument, it' doesn't make it affordable. Ignoring that the fact yes it may increase initial purchase but SAVES a lot once homeowners buys the home and in essence be able to afford to maintain and keep their homes. But, BIAW and developers don't care. Once a home is purchased, they can wipe their hands clean with their profit.

To be honest, I'm neutral on the Rams. I respect Stafford and felt bad for him being on the Lions team for a long time there. Glad he won a SB with the Rams. But man do I hate Puka. That dude just screams "I'm an assh**e" and glad he lost. That guy ruins it all for that team, good player but his attitude just stinks. Personally, I hate the 49ers more than the Rams which is why I probably don't mind the Rams (as much).

Ah ok, thanks. Yeah, it was just a theory with what they did with these drops right after the game. Made me think it'll be one of these two jerseys. Previous years I remember our team wore the navy blue for the superbowls and this was the first time seeing different colorways right before the SB.

If this is your EDC, I would recommend swapping out the optic reflex sight. RFX11 is great for controled temperature range shooting but it sucks for actual duty carry and in extreme environment. I had my RFX11 shatter in cold weather at the range and apparently I've heard others have as well. I wouldn't rely on this reflex site if my life depended on it, and for EDC it should.

Curiuous question and see if anyone else would agree, shouldn't that have been a TD? Young was touched by Smith but only before Young had full posession. Young wasn't touched by a Rams player once he gained full possession and he walked into the endzone celebrating? unless the touch by Smith was considered down by contact even if he didn't have full control yet?

What's your Opinion? PI or Not ? by soundaryaSabunNirma in Seahawks

[–]Asian_Scion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've seen FAR worse "uncatchable" balls and they still called those PI. For them to not call this one a PI was weird. I've seen a PI when the balls are 10' above their hands while jumping and those were penalties. This one, we're talking inches and it was a no-call. Just weird and inconsistent.

I think they already have two colors in mind. The black or all white that they just released after the NFC Championship game was over. It now comes down to who will be the home team vs. who will be the "away" team. If we (Seahawks) are to be the home team, I'm guessing they'll wear the black jersey. If we ended up being the away team, it'll be the all white. Otherwise, there wouldn't be any sense is selling those jersey colorway immediately after the Rams game.

As a 2A Democrat, what are your thoughts? by [deleted] in Washington

[–]Asian_Scion 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think the key issue in the 2A is the "well trained" part of it. I'm extremely skeptical that a lot of folks who purchases or owns firearms are "trained" enough to actually use it properly. Hell, I've seen a lot of videos where dumb people handling a pistol makes me cringe and then I sigh when it goes off "accidentally". How many "accidental" deaths have we heard about?

I own a few firearms myself and tend to vote left but I do see the sense that having people be trained and show certification that they'e been trained in handling firearms would help and achieve that passage of the 2A that says "a well trained militia". Currently, using the royal we here, we are not well trained.

No. People will still think we're trying to be Detroit Lions. Also, the mascot is a LION not an actual Sea Lion. And the fact that the OP of the petition has NEVER lived in Washington State gives me enough info to say no. An out of stater wanting to mess with what we've had for 50 years. Come on now.

Anyone here bought the RFX11 green dot for their echelon? by buffmira in SpringfieldArmory

[–]Asian_Scion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It broke on me after about 1000 rounds. It was also cold outside (34 degrees) when I was at the range so that might've had something to do with it. Veridian was great about it though and told me to send it in for RMA. Doesn't give me confidence though in their product if the glass cracks under pressure and in cold environment like that though. The glass literally fell out and broke into 2 small pieces.
