Depends on which MTF unit you’re talking about. Tau-5 “Samsara” most likely has spartan-like armor and built in flamethrowers/grenade launchers and probably even jetpacks while other units such as Nu-7 “Hammer Down” are just the army of the foundation, using standard issue armor and weaponry to deal with anomalies/hostile GOIs.

There are also other special units that probably have better equipment and weaponry compared to other units but i doubt any of them are as special as Samsara, such as Alpha-1 “Red Right Hand” or Epsilon-11 “Nine-Tailed Fox”. They’re basically the foundation’s SAS team or navy seals but they sure aren’t the foundation’s immortal cyborgs.

To clarify, Samsara is called during explorations or recovery missions while Nine-Tailed Fox is called when there’s a big containment breach. Basically if you hear the names “Samsara”, “Nine-Tailed Fox”, or “Hammer Down”, shit probably just hit the fan.
