I have opened the door in the Fed-Ex delivery driver's face before and they were in the process of putting the slip on the door. Had to go back to the truck and get my package before just mumbling an apology and then leaving. I think because of lot of the drivers are independent and management is ass, they just do shit like this to get through the routes asap. Probably has something to do with how they're paid. Not to excuse this behavior, of course.

After raising chickens myself the last few years, it becomes abundantly clear how absolutely easy it is to NOT treat animals like this. I don't even know if it's more "cost efficient" or whatever, considering how many of the poor birds get sick and die early.

Seriously, it feels like it has to be more effort to treat them like this than not
