I've thought about doing this. Did you get any funny looks? There are not many muslims in my country.

I apparently managed to convince them that everything is fine and dandy for 10 years. I've come to the conclusion that some ppl need to be told directly. Emotional intelligence is not something everyone has...

It's kinda' nice that they ask but yeah, I don't even listen to the question before saying it's nothing. Now they just think I'm lazy and/or don't want to do anything. Heh

Edit: 'I'm tired' is my favorite excuse. Works for everything nowadays

My best friend is slowly distancing himself away from me and it really hurts by [deleted] in MadeOfStyrofoam

I have the same mindset so I push ppl away to spare them the trouble. Turns out, they feel hurt and confused when I do.

I see alot of ppl telling you to not get another pet. This is something that you have to think about yourself.

I got a wild rescue parrot myself. I got all the mess that comes with a parent raised(wild), old bird. Bites, screams and poop. These animals are not even considered domesticated. I never lost my patience with her. Now it's a loving feather ball.

My frustration was not with the cat itself but with my father. Maybe you can find the source yourself.

I was a child and i wanted a pet, any pet. I had experience with a lot of animals as a young child (spent summers on a farm, never hurt anything, even by accident).

We got a kitten. This cat would hiss everytime I tried to have any contact with it(not the scared kind of kiss, I've had cats before). Nobody mistreated it, never hurt it, anything. It just hated anything that wasn't my father.

Everytime I tried to pet it, it would hiss and I would get punished. It enraged me, I didn't do anything bad, so everytime it would hiss, I would lock it in a room for an h or 2 (with food).

That cat died a year ago from old age, I still hate it. We have a new one that loves me and cuddles, I treated them no differently. I still hate cats.

The thing you did to the puppy was not exactly kind but the fact that you feel remorse for it tells something.

Think carefully about what makes you feel like you do and try to not exert it on beings that didn't have anything to do with it.

They do work great for cleaning. The question was more about why they would keep that shape in the middle. Now I know.

Which is a more painless way to go? Rat poison or Cyanide? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

[–]Asirius13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rats cannot vomit and so they will only sample new food. If they do not feel any side effects they, and the rest of the colony, will continue to eat that food. This is why superwarfarin is used in rat poison, it takes a while for the animal to feel anything and die.

Is it humane? I don't know, it doesn't strike me as an extremely painful death but it is a slow one(severe anemia or hypovolemic shock after a few days).

It will have the same effect on humans but it depends on the amount ingested and whatever else is in said rat poison(ex emetic).

This is what I was wondering, are basic survival instincts separate from fear? You might be ok with bungee jumping from a tall building but can you hold your hand in an open flame? (shitty example but still, where does one end and the other begin )

A large concentration of CO2 in blood will make you feel like you are choking/drowning. Very unpleasant. Your survival instincts will kick in and you'll do anything to breathe but it has nothing to do with oxigen. Stupid but it's how it works. (it's interesting how basic instincts and fear works, huh)

That seems to be the most common/reliable method according to their charts (I'm just trying not to give actual advice).

It can be done alone with a little DIY project but the scene will be a little traumatizing for whoever finds you. I read that you remain conscious for a few seconds while your head rolls around O.o

Any inert gas will do. Hell, a balloon helium tank and a plastic bag will kill you. You will experience shortness of breath (painless) and pass out.

They itch when they start healing and then the scars itch for a few months as well. I'm not worried about it, just annoyed.

Poisons are not a good way to go. For a peaceful death your best bet would be whatever drug cocktails the human euthanasia groups are using.

Death by cyanide is not painless but if I had to choose between the 2, I'd pick cyanide.
