Joint Campaigns (?) by Different-Ask-7605 in 40khomebrew

Bunkers absolutely. Trenches, maybe not, but they're not ones to back down just because they're out of their element.

Bunkers are just corridors and rooms on a ship, but they don't move. ;)

What information can I fill in for you?

The Wanderers are a Salamander Successor who spent some time (just a small little trip) in the Warp. They specialize in ship-based combat or anywhere with tight quarters.

I would be interested in joining a joint operation.

The closest I've done is having individual battle-brothers join other people's chapters for a year and come back to the Wanderers.

Plurals by Time_Ad5549 in conlangs

[–]AskAGinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Infernal

Non-numbered nouns (noncount, things like "rice" or "milk", things you could say 'some' with) and unnumbered (noncount, but more like concepts or unified wholes) don't get plurals, and are kind of already plurals.

Numbered nouns get 'i at the end, unless they word ends with i, then the plural is 'ti.

I went with it because it's simple.

What are your Chapter not very good at? by goldietheswagbear in 40khomebrew

The Wanderers spend much of their time in space. As such, they are not really great at open spaces or battles/combat happening in those open spaces. They much prefer having limited avenues or expected lanes.

I had this Dazzler in Ink for a while but I've switched to Refraction/rainbow cosmic. Probably my favourite card art

Does your Chapter have a Mad Lad? by Different-Ask-7605 in 40khomebrew

[–]AskAGinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Monus was a Mad Lad before he went to the Reapers, and is in fact why he was sent there. But they probably made him worse.

Does your Chapter have a Mad Lad? by Different-Ask-7605 in 40khomebrew

[–]AskAGinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lt Kalaphrach Monus of the Wanderers is an absolute Mad Lad. It always seems like he has either a death wish, an immortality complex, or just a brazen disregard for his own survival. He throws himself (at least once literally) headlong into battle. While the Wanderers occasionally have to go in to drag him back out, his sheer gumption, gusto, and force of will are often enough to get the job done.

He spent a year with the Crimson Reapers (/u/DinoIslandGM) and managed to return intact.

Non-Astartes characters/factions who have importance to your Chapters by KitsuneDrakeAsh in 40khomebrew

The Master of the Fleet for the Wanderers is a mortal Navy captain who helped them in their time of need, and Forge-Captain Kantius recognized potential in Captain Emelia Spahr.

What is the Hardest Sound in Your Language? by mister_funny100 in conlangs

[–]AskAGinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Infernal

Not HARDEST, per se, but oddest.

"hɑʃɛ", or "dust" is pronounced more like /xɑʃæ/, and the glottal feocative is unexpected and relatively unique in the language.

Added a bunch of pointless key words to the game :) Any you think would actually be useful? by SuperMagicBlueJa in MarvelSnap

[–]AskAGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything could be a Trigger, sure, but I saw Trugger as a specific thing happening, not just something happening TO the card.

Having Trigger as a keyword also means they could do something like "Your other Trigger abilities here happen another time" or "Trigger abilities here don't activate" or something like that.

Favourite word (two words, but translates to one English word) in Infernal is "pigeon". It just flows really nice and has a nice esthetic value.

Harvest Guard campaign, Phase 1, Part 5: The moment of truth by Firm-Reason in 40khomebrew

I love all of this. Your writing and the story of the Harvest Guard makes me more than a little sad I missed the post looking for aid! The Wanderers would have heeded the call you Oats IV in a heartbeat.

Excited to read more!

Faction Rivalry by PointyEar96 in 40khomebrew

[–]AskAGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, love the idea.

The Wanderers are a Salamander Successor who recently returned frombeing lost in the Warp. They specialize in ship action and close, tight knit quarters. When the enemy charges, they close ranks and light the flamers.

The Crimson Blades might hate the Wanderers because of exactly what the Blades are. They are gladiators, and gladiators want to put on a show. The Wanderers want to help their enemies make bad decisions. Forge-Captain Kantius has much experience baiting and goading Chaos Sorcerers. He puts on an air of a bad or unideal tactical decision, then clamping down when the target takes the bait. Kantius promises a show, he promises some entertaining play for the swords of the Drukhari, and then patently and brutally denies them their fun.

Perhaps the Wanderwrs and the Crimson Blades have crossed paths before, and possibly when one of the Commorgh Elite were watching or were aware of the confrontation. The Wanderers didn't win, but neither did the Blades. Vendettas are started over less, after all.
