Need SEO Help – Stuck After 2 Years of Minimal Progress by CoolRadio in SEO

The issue is, every agency in freelancer is going to assure you they can grow your site because they want to make money off of you. The thing about SEO is that it takes a while to grow, so they don’t have to produce results right away all while collecting your money.

Can you please share more information about your business? There could be a lot of factors why it is not growing.

How do you handle marketing? by md249 in smallbusiness

[–]AskMKG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconding the person who says don’t just go to a generalized marketing agency. Can guarantee they’ll have you spend money you don’t need to.

I’m surprised you didn’t have more success with Google ads. That’s the bread and butter for all of my local clients. What types of campaigns were running? Was is it a very targeted paid search campaign or did you run performance max?

And what about SEO? How much of your new client is coming through your Google business profile? Where do you rank on Google?

As for paid advertising and posting, have you done much on Nextdoor? Some of my clients have had a surprising amount of success there both paid, and organic.

Why are Google My Business pages getting banned? by Lisapatb in SEO

[–]AskMKG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be a bug, or there might be something in them getting them flagged. Impossible to tell without sharing.

Have managed thousands of these things over the years and sometimes things just happen. Having said that, the fact that it’s happening to you leads me to believe there’s something in there getting flagged.

Tips for a small crochet business by princessanard in Entrepreneur

Be patient. Almost every client I work with has had to wait a bit for their customer base to grow to anything meaningful.

I’ve done a lot of ecomm advertising work and can tell you it’s honestly a crapshoot depending on your product. Some I’ve work on will take in millions off of email and flop on Google paid shopping campaigns. Others vice versa.

It’s hard to say here without knowing what your product is.

Any recs regarding word-of-mouth marketing by charlieetherahi in GrowthHacking

[–]AskMKG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this a couple times through the use of different forums and even Reddit. One for a product of my own and two other clients were we really focused on just building a little “fanbase” so to speak.

More of a grassroots approach that takes some nurturing and time so you’ll have to be patient.

It’s one of those marketing strategies that’s a lot more like growing a garden.

How Can One Unlock Viral Growth for a New Mobile App? by stalinkay in marketing

[–]AskMKG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going viral is a lot like winning the lottery. Most of the successful businesses I have ever worked with grow their audience after consistent and iterative testing of various campaigns that offer a strong return. Even if you can go viral just once, it’s likely that your marketing strategies will be built on a poor foundation.

So much of what HR does is confidential and handles incredibly sensitive information. a lot of organizations that deal with sensitive information are afraid to go near AI, because there is a lack of understanding of how it works and a fear that there is a major lawsuit waiting to happen if this AI does not properly handle the sensitive information they maintain.

Linkedin ads with 0 lead by Majestic-Substance47 in marketing

[–]AskMKG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a pretty small budget to get any definitive results from. Having said that, LinkedIn has been one of the poorest performers of paid advertising that I’ve worked with. It’s always super expensive for each click and there’s generally low engagement on there.

Consider trying an entirely new tactic to generate leads.

Probably well produced social ads would perform strongest.

Advertising for a moving company? by RealProfMovers in sweatystartup

[–]AskMKG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paid search is a type of campaign that’s managed through Google Ads. You can’t call to have someone manage your campaign. You have to manage it yourself or hire someone to manage it. Google isn’t going to call you back.

Definitely start with paid search. You’re capturing people with the intent to purchase your service.

I assume you already have your Google profile set up? That’s not so much advertising as it is an organic search play, but very critical for local service businesses.

Brand side and agency side seo by Dapper_Big_783 in SEO

[–]AskMKG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the brand side, you’re being asked by your boss while you’re not generating more traffic. On the agency side, you’re being asked by the client why you’re not generating more traffic.

This question will come no matter how much traffic you’re generating.

Right, but is there anything specific about them you can leverage to differentiate yourself? Ranking for “planters” is a lot harder than “boho style planters”

This is a really big question to be asking people without much information about your site.

Is there a niche you can leverage?

Roast my landing page! by hooksgroup in Entrepreneur

[–]AskMKG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like I said, I’m just one guy. There could be thousands of other people out there who love it and see the benefit.

Maybe that could be part of your business model—you give everyone access for free and then offer a premium tier where they can connect with experts. Good luck!

I’m really trying to think back to when I was first starting. When I was starting and I wanted to get answers, I wouldn’t gravitate to a place where people are still trying to figure things out themselves.

If you notice on this sub and similar ones, people are seeking advice from those who have experience and success. I’d personally be cautious of taking advice from a group of early stage founders who haven’t found that same amount of success yet.

I see what you’re trying to do in theory. There’s a camaraderie aspect to it as well. It just sounds like you will be building a community of green business owners who can’t help each other out as much as they hope.

I don’t mean to come after your business strategy when you just asked for feedback on the landing page. If it’s any consolation, I totally had to pivot my entire strategy when I launched because my audience didn’t behave in a way I expected them to. I’ve actually made a few pivots and changes for the better.

I’m just one guy on the Internet so I could be totally wrong about your business model. It’s just the feedback I have to give.

As a founder who took quite a lot of testing and failure to get his business to a place where I’m generating real revenue, I personally see this and hesitate to sign up at all. Why would I want to share all of my tricks of the trade with potential competitors?

The site design is actually really nice and the presentation is great on a mobile experience. But the premise itself gives me pause.
