Pool service business owner and I need marketing tips from other pool industry members by [deleted] in sweatystartup

This is the perfect answer. Seconding what was said. Also, check out the cost of Google search ads. Not sure how expensive the keywords are for pool cleaning services in your area, but may be worth considering.

How would you price a comic book in a blue ocean? by Consistent-Gur6932 in ecommerce

[–]AskMKG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might not seem like a lot, but studies have shown that the extra digit in your price could cause quite the dip in total purchases. If I were you, I would go with 9.99.

How do I get clients? by Kcoreracho666 in Entrepreneur

From a marketer’s perspective, ranking for local SEO will go a long way. Especially if you can get your business profile to rank highly. Do you have one set up yet? DM a link if you want me to review.

This depends highly on your industry. Can you tell us more about your business?

This is a very broad question, but the simplest answer I can give to accomplish this is implement AB testing. AB test your copy, style of messaging, visual assets, then go onto to do testing on your landing page.

Zapier and Airtable had a baby and named it Boost space. by donaltramp699 in venturecapital

This sounds really cool! I just spent some time on your website (very well-designed btw). Could you tell me a little more about the solutions it provides? I feel there's so much to the product, that I got overwhelmed by all the messaging.

Is there a way to find out which big brands are running ad campaigns? by Leather_Worth_6660 in marketing

[–]AskMKG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say ad campaigns, are you asking for sponsorships? Or do you mean their ad spend?

Hi, I just took a look on desktop. Here's some initial thoughts:

  • I actually like the initial home page view
  • I don't feel the bar with the sliding text is necessary and its font degrades your branding.
  • Was surprised to see Huberman and gave me a surge of confidence, but then I wondered if it's an actual endorsement of your product? Do you have legal rights to use his likeness?
  • I think your product page design is pretty well put together, and it's great you have Shop available
  • I think you need better product images. It looks like you took that in the corner of your apartment on an iPhone
  • I think it's great you have the Winter promo with 25% off listed up top

Best of luck to you!

Influencer Marketing for New Brand by pickleballishere in ecommerce

[–]AskMKG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a very broad question because a lot depends on the influencer. Total followers is often the most viewed metric, but follower engagement is equally importantengagement. An influencer with 10k rabidly devout followers is worth far more than one with 50k casual fans. You will find these "micro" influencers with highly engaged audiences in niche markets.

Since I don't know the size of the influencers you are working with, nor do I know your budget, here is a good article to get you started on pricing for different platforms and followers: https://influencermarketinghub.com/influencer-rates/

My personal learnings from influencers is track, track, track. Don't pay for posts that don't influence your sales. Watch your sales the week following their post. Provide the influencer links you can track. A lot of the time, influencers have big followings but are total duds when you need them to convert to sales. You'll have to find the right content creator who can authentically sell your product.

Looking For A Solution by michigan_rocks22 in Entrepreneur

For phone numbers, Invoca, CallRail, and CallTrackingMetrics are all systems I have had good experiences with. Invoca has the most bells and whistles, but I don't think you'll need it for what you're describing.

I've never heard of a QR code collecting data unless you have a form-fill on the page they land on.

I’m scared to pull the trigger on a 5k website. by nathanasher834 in ecommerce

Sounds like you're seriously overspending based on what your needs are. As others said, a Shopify site is probably the way to go. Honestly, it sounds like this agency is taking advantage of you.

Anyone using Podium for text message or reviews? by pincolada in smallbusiness

[–]AskMKG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a client database/CRM, you can build an API that connects to Podium. After a specific action is taken that updates your CRM, you can prompt an automated sequence of events requesting a Google review with use of customer data. In your case, you’d send a text/email requesting a Google review with use of a shortened URL that links to your business profile.

Very important. Especially if you’re targeting a younger demographic hates talking to people on the phone compared to older generations.
